This is great, just one problem. It seems this video was uploaded before leopard, so you have the prototype leopard intro, which has a different soundtrack than the original. Please re upload it with the final intro!

They are all real. I had the beta before they changed the music. The intro videos were created in-house with Apple's own final cut studio- specifically Motion for the animation.

@sparroestar22 I'd like that to, but I'd put it a bit different. Instead of it playing and then you're able to login, how about after? Like, It'd play the video (Sound playing, too) as your backround for 35-ish seconds and then return to your wallpaper. That'd be perfect for me :P.

@serialkissersband Maybe Apple paid someone to do it, because I don't think they've got a team for the "Welcome movie".

The software used is probably not iLife (iMovie & Garageband in that kind of thing) but rather $1,000 software from Adobe for example. Or Blender for 3D things (this last one has a GNU GPL license and is free tough => Really impressive program! Look at their website .org)

Why are Mac startups so different to Windows ones?

Windows have short startups that just shows the logo and a small animation. Mac, they have a lot of animation saying 'Welcome' in every launguage!
