I didn't join HMM-261 untill 1982' shortly before they deployed to the Med (Beruit).

swflprof, where you there during the operation? If so did you hear any rumors "true tales" about a platoon of Marines who had retaken the radio station on the second night. These Marines fought like hell. The navy dropped percussion bombs on the enemy to save their butts.
