Old news. But I am glad the counter clerk (or anyone else) wasn't hurt. Doesn't always work out that way. Just this week, the girl in AZ was hit - probably accidentally - during assassination attempt and locally, four guys tried to gang-bang execute someone in a parking lot (public lot next to a store). No bystanders hit but then neither was the guy those 4 were shooting at.

The robber's name has not been released, that I can find. No interview of the clerk. A unnamed investigator was the one to leak this that the robber may have shot himself later that night.

The experts also agreed that a "double tap" misfire would be understandable if this was a semi-automatic, but not a double-action revolver... although it is possible. Maybe a ricochet after the bullet passed through the clerk... but unlikely.

I have showed this video using slow motion to people in law enforcement and gun experts. They all agree they do not see two shots. A guess was the gun may have had a bullet lodged in the barrel and exploded, you can see the gun fly across and land on the clerks side of the desks. But the gun does not appear to be damaged.

The shell casings should be in the gun to tell how many times it fired. But oddly after around August 9th, no more news on this case.

This is a fascinating case. First, the unedited interview of Major Meadows statement, just seen in this AP video, he makes a 100% false statement, claiming after the police secured the crime scene and reviewed the surveillance tape, the clerk can clearly be seen pulling his own weapon and shooting the robber...

Second, the gun totally does not appear to fire twice. Even if it was missed in the frames, the large man in the bottom of the video only reacts to the shot that killed the robber.

You can see the clerk take it in the stomach first and the guy looks alright as he ducks after the shot...I don't believe the official story.
