  • 11:47 That is the only picture I've ever seen of this line-up of Cliff & the Drifters: Hank, Bruce, Jet & Terry!

The only picture of Terry Smart I've seen wearing a matching band suit. They retained that set of outfits (suits, shirts, ties) after Tony Meehan joined (seen at 10:43, with Cliff and Norrie Paramour). The suits are a dark shade of blue and the ties yellow

  • just heard about Jet passing away. The Shadows kept music alive in the lean years between early rock'n'roll and the sixties explosion. I learned my drumming from listening to Tony Meehan. Thanks all of you

  • so much feel as against Shads strict tempo post 61!!!!! you couldn't set your watch against any tracks on this issue

  • xxxxxx,

    j.

  • Without a doubt, it was Jet Harris's predominant bass-run that forms the backbones of the early Shadows' tunes!!

  • Love the bass sound he got on Nivram. Classic vintage P-Bass at it's best and a ground breaking solo.

  • I am thoroughly enjoying listening to this music and seeing the slide show. Thank you for posting, thanks (a lot) !
