Incredible how frustrating Android GUI is to get started with when you're new to it.
I used around 14 hours to figure out how to have different icons per row, when your class did not extend ListActivity.
In VB.Net I remember when I, some years ago, wanted to do the exact same thing. But that time I didn't even have to figure out anything - I just typed the code straight ahead, even though I had never tried before. Just by looking at the intellisense.
I have a list view pulling data from my contentprovider, when activity starts list view is scrollable it just doesn't show all the data only shows seven or so then duplicates, but weird thing is when i turn the phone and it becomes focusable in horizontal it shows different data from the first scroll and as i scroll i see duplicate until phone is turned back to vertical and depending where the scroll bar is on side determines what data will be displayed on phone at time takes focused
Android 5 badly needs a better ListView component. I can't do half the shit I need to with it.

If you do re-use the convertView it displays in reverse order. Any work around to reuse convertView at the same time correctting the reverse order

great talk googlers. nice to see some discussion on some of the more poorly-documented facets of listview.
