  • THE RISKS OF FILTERING. As a cyclist i found filtering through traffic more hassle than it's worth and i feel safer not doing it ! I THINK YOU BOTH WERE AT FAULT ! When you filtered back in the traffic, you would of cut him up. He wouldn't of known you were there, though his reaction was quite appalling. NO ONE PERFECT, LEAVE THE AGGRESSION AT HOME !

  • you overtook everyone then got pissed when he got pissed off with you, does the other cars overtake when the traffic comes to a stand still.. if your going to use the road use it like everyone else has to, fucking retard.

  • @KafesEntertainment

No, not really. I passed lots of stopped traffic and then one driver tried to knock me off my bike in a pointless attempt to get back in front and the police issued him with a warning about his driving based on this video.

  • Great vid! Got porky bang to rights!

  • i'd have fookin gone to town on porky the pig there, carved me some good cuts of bacon

  • Sad sad man, riding like a twat then moaning about drivers

  • @JKEW

My riding here endangered nobody, yet the same cannot be said about the driving. I can cope with most arrogant drivers who attempt to use the road as if they were the only ones on it, regardless of the death and injury they might cause to others, cyclists and pedestrians in particular, however I reported this driver to the police who gave him a warning for his deliberate attempt to smash me off my bike.

  • why are you riding in the middle of the road ??

  • @wolfe1970

I see that you ride a bike, so assume that you know about filtering and owning the lane too. I also have a motorbike licence and when I took the training for that I was told to ride in the middle of the lane if necessary to prevent overtakes on narrow roads. The same principle applies to cyclists, more so perhaps as it's harder to see a cyclist and possibly more tempting for drivers to try passing when it really isn't on.

  • @kmcyc yes i do own a motorbike, and yes your right we are supposed to ride in the middle of our lane, but this isnt a motorbike, its a bicycle, and they are not allowed to be in the middle of your lane, would you do that out in the country where the speed limit is 60mph and your doing 20mph ??

thats why when they paint green cycle lanes there not in the middle of the lane but along the kerb !!

  • @wolfe1970

Cyclists are allowed to use any part of the road, even the oncoming lane, just the same as any other vehicle. How else could I pass the dustcart? Always ride according to the conditions. Here the limit is 30, it's downhill and given the traffic I backed off the speed as I usually do 30 on this road. Single lane country roads have a 60 limit but you would not expect a cyclist to ride other than in the middle of those lanes. Cycle lanes are not compulsory either, Highway Code 61 & 63.

  • @kmcyc R.I.P Dude !!

  • @wolfe1970

Very amusing I'm sure. So first of all I'll point out that this driver was warned by the police for their driving here. Cycle lanes are often a danger to cyclists and are installed usually without consultation with riders to satisfy council objectives. Note there are none on this road. Overtaking is legal if done safely, this means if a cyclist wants to overtake a slow or stopped vehicle or if a motorist wants to overtake a cyclist. In each case, there must be room to do so safely.

  • I think you go around looking for people to piss off sometimes..

  • @burningsociety

Certainly not! All that happened here is this fella was stuck in a traffic jam and I passed him on my bike. When he started moving again he wanted to overtake me but there wasn't room for him to make the pass. I can't make the road any wider, move the next traffic jam further ahead or magically disappear. Unfortunately I think he expected me to somehow perform at least one of those impossible tricks and was disappointed that I could not.

  • Well at least that's something.

  • Did you report the driver to police?

  • @iqirus2

Yes I reported the driver to the police and he received a warning about his driving based on this video.

  • Comment removed

  • It's funny because he drives a Clio :)

  • Lol, well maybe after you passed the bin lorry when the road was wide? I'm not saying the other guy was right, I just feel that looking at this video objectively from start to finish that you as a rider could have reacted differently which would have de-escalated this situation.

  • You mentioned being courteous in your other video. Maybe this driver felt you should have been courteous and let this chap through. It takes two to tango and you brought this on yourself.

  • @gezza403

Let him through where exactly? He attempted to run me off the road, using his car to barge me out of his way, when in fact he could not have gone any faster or gotten anywhere any quicker than I or the car in front of me. What possible justification could he have had for his dangerous behaviour? Any other driver would have simply followed without all the aggression displayed by this motorist. "Brought this on yourself" what nonsense.

  • @gezza403 you are making your self sound like a right idiot. Was it you in the blue shed? is this why you cant understand why you are in the wrong and the bike was fine to do what he did?

  • @gezza403 He wasn't obstructing the other driver as traffic was moving slowly. The podgy faced little boy was upset because a cyclist had overtaken him.

He should stop driving with his ego, it only leads to butt hurts!

  • video. Maybe this driver felt you should have been courteous and let the chap through. It takes two to tango and you brought this on yourself.

  • The cyclist had every right to pass those cars as they were stationary! The guy in the car had no right to remonstrate with the cyclist!

  • You could have easily anticipated the cars moving from at least 4 cars back and realised that they were going to accelerate so drop in behind the offending car. As for the warning well he may have had a section 59 notice (no fine etc) from a police officer or they may well have just told you this to get rid of you. Sorry but I feel your actions in the beginning caused this whole situation. There is a fine line between filtering and queue jumping.

  • @gezza403

Again, what are you talking about? When I passed the blue car it was stationary. If I were to "drop in behind" not only would I have had to come to a dead stop but I would also have had to find space for my bike between his car and the one waiting directly behind it. Not until I was passing the dustcart did the "offending" driver catch me up by which time there wasn't space to pass, either by virtue of the narrow road or proximity of stopped traffic ahead.

  • Whilst filtering I feel you should have anticipated the cars moving off and seeing the big gap develop ahead were this chap was clearly going to accelerate in to drop in behind this chap. Would have been much more curtious and avoided this whole situation.

  • @gezza403

What are you talking about? I was travelling at the same speed as the silver car and at a safe distance. The driver of the blue car had no need to accelerate that hard especially given that a queue was building up so close he'd barely have time to shift into 3rd. What would have been courteous had he realised this and not bothered trying to knock me off my bike. For this, when I made the video available to them, the Police gave him a warning for his poor driving.

  • no more cars for heaven's sakes!

  • What a fat, red nosed pie munching fucktard. Do they make bikes strong nough to support that much lard?

  • you said v776 eff, u write v776 eef. you need glasses

  • @ChickenGriller77

Yes thank you. Either that or the driver needs to clean his car more often. Thankfully though I was able to get the correct registration details from the video, which I passed onto the police, who then gave the driver a warning for his conduct here.

  • Though I certainly don't condone the car drivers reaction, I can understand his anger after nearly knocking you off your bike through no fault of his own.

Hatched road markings (with Red Paint to boot) should not be crossed unless to gain access to a property or junction, something you flouted at the beginning of a video.

You can clearly see cars are moving out to overtake something yet you carry on to the right of moving vehicles despite 2 nice sized spaces where you could take a strong line.

  • @FalconFC

"No fault of his own"? He could clearly see me ahead of him keeping pace with the traffic. He could also see that the traffic would stop in a short distance. Yet he decided to carry on with a pointless and dangerous overtake. Those hatchings had broken lines. When I took my motorbike test, I was marked down for not filtering on hatchings with broken lines. The red colour means nothing, read Highway Code 130. Oh, and BTW, the police gave the driver a warning based on this video.

  • what a fat obesee prick ha ha ha fat twat.

  • if the fat dude was a muslim he wld be called a terrorist..hmmmm

  • Wait. Why is it that when cyclists ride in the road, which is perfectly legal, and then are threatened to be run down by pricks and 3 ton machines, there are people who defend the said pricks?

  • iam glad that you caught him on tape because he was certainly in the wrong, but may i ask why were you filming whilst riding your bike?

  • @amritpal1991

Thanks. I've been cycling for 15 years and have see a lot of strange and/or dangerous things happen when others have failed to see or respect a cyclist. Cameras these days are cheap and you never know when video evidence will come in useful.

  • when you start to pay road tax insurance and pass a test then you can have a go at other road users, until then go away and stop being a hazard

  • @TheRamrider

What test would you like me to pass? I've held a car licence for 23 years and a motorbike licence for 8. Road Tax doesn't exist but I own a Band K car so pay more VED than most car owners. I have insurance cover for my bike too, as a regular cycle commuter for 15 years that only makes sense. Now, if only you can explain to me how a cyclist is a hazard to drivers, I'll see what I can do. Until then, I will carry on getting to work faster than if I were driving. Thanks.

  • @TheRamrider That it harsh, I think that the cyclist caused this by cutting across the bonnet of the car after passing it 0:07. What I think is that there should be implementable penalty for all poor road users, including cyclists. This one would have been as mad as a box of fleas if the car did the same to him. I do agree a test should need to be undertaken like CBT for a moped.

  • @TheRamrider Road Tax doesn't exist

  • @TheRamrider lol you didnt come back and rip him once he told you he passed his test did you? why not? is it because youre a trolling fucktard?

  • Almost Every single cyclist video on you tube is british hahaha and they are all aggressive.

  • @AlRHORN usually we are laid back, but just turn aggressive when we are nearly killed by lazy and inconsiderate drivers who don't know the highway code.

  • Can't see the drivers problem. McDonalds is open 24hour

  • @SuperKrumpa The trouble is that the nearest drive-thru (sic) Maccy D is probably too far away for him to cope, and walking to the ones in the town centre is too much like hard work! Yes, I recognise that mini-roundabout...

  • what an idiot... why do shit like that its so pointless

  • yep, cyclist in the right, although i would have shopped him for attempt murder.

  • im on the cyclist side here. driver is a total fat tw?t

  • @Aerozine50 Fuck off you stupid little wanker. had my license 11 years and not had so much as a kerbed wheel. because i know how to use the road. so shut your face you dumb fucking tosser.... your using the same piss poor excuse as any other biker who thinks he is entitled to everything. whaaa whaaa whaa i dont have to use the bike lanes whaaa whaa. everytime you say this you show people just how retarded you are. THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON. knocked down not using them is your fault

  • @cybermods no, you semi-jizz-stain, you forget that there AREN'T cycle lanes to use, let alone SAFE cycling infrastructure. But there's car-only roads: motorways - despite cyclists putting more into the system than they take out.tax/expenditure-wise. A charity, Sustrans, is responsible for our national routes, for example. Which should be a government priority, but no, too many fuckwit car-only drivers don't tell their MP to push for it, so we are all stuck in this unpleasantness.

  • @TVismyopiate and it's not 'biker', either, that's for motorcyclists. It's 'cyclist'.

  • Fat f.ckwit.

  • Did you report him to the cops?

  • @jondeare

Yes I reported him and he received a warning about his driving.

  • my god you was going the same speed as the traffic, what a prick in the renault

  • @Aerozine50

Thanks, yes it is strange to think that when I first posted this video the majority of commentators felt the driver was in the wrong, yet lately a number of them seem to have it in for cyclists. What a bore. Perhaps you are right, they are just jealous?

  • You said EFF in the video and EEF in the video title

  • @EngineerMontila

Yes I know. I mis-read the number plate at the time but got the correct details from the video later on. But thanks for pointing that out though.

  • Hope you get hit by a fucking bus you CUNT.

  • @Blackwell000 Ohh, naming calling on YT, the epitome of failure. You're either the piece of lard in the video, or totally jelly over cyclists owning you arse to the traffic lights every morning.

  • @hashmonster2004, you obviously don't ride bikes, not all cyclists do that, i'm a cyclist but i don't cut up traffic, i bet you're one of these wankers who try to kill cyclists like me just because we ride on the road, do you even know why we ride on the road? i'll tell you why, by law, any vehicle, motorized or otherwise in britain with wheels bigger than a mobility scooters wheels are ILLEGAL to be used on footpaths, get over it and get a bloody life.

  • the cyclist owns the road and can ride without any consideration for others, isn’t that how it is?????

  • @AtheistMessiah1972

Consideration for others? I gave all of those stopped vehicles plenty of room when I legally overtook them. Unlike the driver featured here who drove his car at be deliberately, clearly with no consideration for my safety or well-being. Note how he undertakes approaching the mini-RAB and finally how he almost drives into another vehicle. He received a warning from the police for his driving in this video.

  • ooh look at the cycklist cutting up cars as per usual ... wankers get off the road.

  • @hashmonster2004

Hmm, think it was the other way around pal. Those cars weren't going anywhere and I left them plenty of room, overtaking them legally and safely. Unlike the driver featured here who tried to knock me off my bike with his car, then proceeded to cut me up by undertaking approaching the mini-RAB and then almost driving into another motorist. You are aware he was warned by the police on the strength of this video?

  • What a twat. Drives like a wanker in an attempt to make 0.000000000000000000000001 second on his journey by getting in front of you only to waste 1000% of that time calling you a fucking prick when the only fucking prick was him self. Doesn't it just make you proud to be British when you are sharing roads with sorry excuses for living gits like him?

  • @QullVideo

It is a shame that there are people like this on our roads, yes. I didn't let it spoil my day though.

  • @kmcyc I suppose when anyone for any reason throws abuse at you like this it can make you feel a bit down. But you're right in not letting this piece of work get you down because you did nothing wrong and it's almost as if the git is flailing abuse him at himself because there was no one in that video but him self to call a "fucking prick". Confusing somewhat.

  • The driver could do with riding a bike, the fat lump of lard.

  • @MrDiscobill better make it a strong bike. what a fat fucker!! ha-ha!

  • i cycle and fair enough some vids are shocking drivers, but you can't ride a bike like a car, and you sound like a prick

  • @jaymodunn

I know you can't ride a bike like a car. A car would not be able to filter through that traffic at the start now would it? Overtaking stopped traffic is quite legal however, either on a bike or in a car provided it is done safely, which this was. The problem occurred when one driver tried to overtake when the road was too narrow, ie while it was dangerous to make a pass.

  • I can't make it out on the reg but in the video you read out the reg as V776 EFF but you've put the title as V776 EEF. Just letting you know incase you want to change it. Happy Cycling =)

  • @BlueMonkey2009

Yeah I know. I mis-read the plate at the time but was able to get the correct details from the video later on. Cheers!

  • @MrDaveinnit fuck you

  • Since when has it been legal for a bicycle to filter in the *middle* of the road. they're a fucking menace in London then moan when they get hit. No horn, barely visible and not meant to be filtering in the middle!!! Arseholes

  • @markmywords312 Like any other vehicle, they can overtake slower traffic by passing on the right.

  • @MrDaveinnit

The cross hatchings have broken lines, so there's no problem moving into that area if necessary to make progress. If there was a parked vehicle requiring you to drive around it through the cross hatchings, you would not think twice about it.

  • @kmcyc I think you're wrong on this. You can only enter the hatched area with broken lines when it is necessary to pass a stationary vehicle, horse, cyclist or road working equipment. Not queueing traffic, you took your chance and someone took you to task over it - deal with the fact you are a cyclist and not above the law.

  • @simondrobinson

When I took my motorbike test, my instructor told me off for waiting behind traffic instead of filtering on a cross-hatch just like this one. On a bike you have no protection and in queuing traffic it's all too easy to be rear-ended, especially on a bicycle as you have no brake light to warn those following you are stopping. It is therefore a better idea to keep going if you can do so safely. I realise I'm not above the law and so I comply with it, driving or biking.

  • You arrived at an awkward time just as the driver was about to pull off, which is unlucky and probably why the driver was angry, although you posed no danger. What is inexcusable is his following actions. Performing a dangerous overtake and then parking himself across both lanes at the junction shows how useless a driver he is. If your priority is to get back at someone and not to drive safely then you should not be driving.

  • @TheOriginalSomeone

Yes, that's about the size of it I guess. He'd been sat in traffic, perhaps getting a little frustrated by his lack of progress and simply didn't like the idea of a cyclist going faster than he could. Busy as he was with his mobile phone while he waited he perhaps didn't realise I was passing him either? Who knows? This certainly does not entitle him to drive the way he did.

  • @MrDaveinnit

Would you care to elaborate on your comment and explain your thinking there?

  • whats the penalty for this? is there a fine or just warning to the driver?

  • end of the day YOU had no need to overtake cars the way you did. that was YOU acting the cunt and thinking your something special. You can sqeeze down the sides of cars zig zag traffic cut infront of cars e.t.c but as soon as somebody does something you dont like you feel you need to name and shame them like your some little youtube hero. One day you will cause an accident and i hope when it happens your youtube is used as evidence or your arrogant actions and you get big bubba bending you over

  • @cybermods

I have to wonder if you are not a stereotype having taken a quick look at your profile. I'm doing nothing special here, passing stationary vehicles on a bike. Big deal. I, like many other riders, do this safely every day. Sadly though, drivers passing riders don't always repay the compliment and attempt dangerous passes. If a driver puts another road user in danger it is only right that they are reported to the authorities. Everyone has a right to use the roads in safety.

  • @cybermods The difference being when an idiot in a car undertakes or cuts up a cyclist they are very likely to kill the cyclist. On the other hand a cyclist filtering past stationary or slow moving traffic - as they are permitted to do in law - is endangering no-one.

  • i dont need to keep quiet your moronic actions in your videos speak for themselves. if you want to ride in the middle of the road then get a car. if you want to ride your bike get in the fking bike lane or hug the curb. do not try to pretend you fkin bike is a car because it fking well is not. people wouldnt need to overtake you if you didnt hold them up with your stupid actions. your a fkin danger to yourself and other using the roads. infact im submitting your actions to your local authority.

  • @cybermods

Hugging the kerb is known to be particularly dangerous cycling. You are less visible to drivers and encourage them to take more risks with your safety. I have a car thanks, however I like to get places on time so I cycle more than I drive. Around here the more wheels you have, the slower you go. Travelling at the same pace as the rest of the traffic is hardly holding anyone up. Submit away my friend, the police already have this video and have warned the driver for their actions.

  • you dont ride in the correct position and thats your fking problem. you ride like a complete fkin knob

  • @cybermods

Gosh, I'm sorry, I had no idea you were an expert on correct road positioning to avoid being driven at by a driver who is unable to work out the width of the road, the width of their car, the pace of traffic, the space required to overtake other road users safely, the proximity of stopped vehicles, etc, etc. Please go ahead, enlighten us all with your abundant knowledge. Or better still, do us all a favour and keep your thoughts to yourself.

  • it's not a case of the battle on the road between cars and bikes... it's the fact that these people are such assholes about it. If I nearly ran a biker off the road I'd be apologising, not acting like a chav dick

  • @HelmutVillam

Thanks for your comment. People these days find it hard to come to terms with their responsibilities and owning up to the fact that we are all capable of making mistakes. The correct thing to do if you do make a mistake as you say, is to apologise.

  • Hate cyclists to a degree, but the driver was being a prat!

  • one day your gonna end up under somebodys wheels for riding your bike like the twat you do. ..

  • @cybermods

Really? For keeping pace with traffic and riding in the primary position to prevent dangerous overtakes from drivers who cannot work out when the road is too narrow to pass a cyclist safely? I spend a lot of time cycling and I have a good safety record thanks to making sure I ride in the correct places for the road and conditions.

  • I bet the police fined you for wasting their time!

Your all so aggressive when your on the road, Fuck sake man, chill out. Most people hate cyclists for all sorts of reasons, The way i look at it is as long as You don't cut me up, keep up with the slow traffic(Rather than weaving in and out), Then you won't be posting vid on here of me! In fact it wouldn't happen to me.

  • @MrSilverfox333

No, the police gave the driver a warning for driving without due care and attention.

How is it aggressive to pass a stationary car? This is a downhill section, I didn't even need to pedal. In fact I was covering the brakes and yet was easily keeping pace with traffic.

The act of aggression here was when the driver tried to run me off the road with his car.

  • ida soooo jawed that fat driver..!

  • fucking cyclists you bunch of cunts

  • @Blackwell000 prick

  • @bikebulgaria dickhead

  • @Blackwell000 tosser

  • @Blackwell000 Cunt

  • how can you report him to the police for overtaking you. how about we all report you for riding like an idiot. your the reason cyclist have a bad name. your riding in the middle of the road blocking traffic, then you get upset when someone overtakes you. stay near the curb like every other cyclist, that way you not blocking all the traffic. if you want to act like a car, then get a car. clown!

  • @videogameaddic1001

I did not report him for the overtake, I reported him for attempting to run me off the road and driving into me with his car. Overtaking is fine, provided it is done safely. However, this was not IMO a safe overtake, a view shared by the police it seems. As for blocking traffic, that's odd, how can that be if I'm keeping up with it?

  • @kmcyc yeah but your still in the middle of the road, cyclist are meant to ride by the curb, not in the middle of the road. fair enough he could of waited to overtake, but you had no need to pull right back in front of him your not a car. thats what i call cyclist gets upset when overtaken by car.

  • @videogameaddic1001

Where does it say that cyclists "are meant to ride by the curb"? Nowhere but in your mind my friend. Sure, keep left when there's faster traffic following but if you can keep pace or if there isn't room for safe overtakes cyclists are advised to move away from the kerb.

  • @videogameaddic1001

Note that the lanes approaching the mini RAB are a left turn lane, which has been provided by a widening of the road; and a straight on/right turn lane. I'm going straight so stayed in the correct lane and maintained my line rather than moving left as you can clearly see. That's hardly what you call pulling "right back in front of him".

  • @videogameaddic1001 he was going at the same speed as traffic you numpty

  • @videogameaddic1001 Wow you are a fucking idiot. Sure the car can overtake, that doesn't mean he can do it like a cunt. you have to leave space for the cyclist.

  • @Cbr0Rider yeah like i said the car should of waited and i agree leave space for cyclists, but he should be riding in the middle of road he should be riding by the kerb like a normal cyclist would. also he shouldnt of pulled in front of it like a dickhead after it overtook. hes not a car!

  • @videogameaddic1001 He was in the middle of the road for a more dominant road position, to prevent pointless overtakes like that one. not doing alot of good because most drivers are cunts. lolololol

  • @videogameaddic1001 I think that you will find that the car 'under' took him into a left turn lane and then went straight ahead at the roundabout.

Before you start throwing the personal insults around about him being a clown work out the difference between your and you're.

  • @tedatftlfm yes he did, after the cyclist pulled in front of him. And that's not what I'm on about, I'm on about the cyclist riding in the middle of the road, than pulling in front of the car after it overtook. that's why he's a clown.

and, WOW! i said your instead of you're :o idiot

  • @videogameaddic1001 Yeah, he was keeping up with the traffic ahead, why should he move over?

    MUST OVERTAKE CYCLIST

  • @videogameaddic1001 how can he be blocking traffic when he's keeping up with the traffic? You, sir, are an idiot.

  • @GOLO4FANNY i'm an idiot? a bike is not a car! if he wants to act like a car, then he should get a car. why does he have to act like a dickhead when the car over took and pull in front of it. yeah the car shouldn't of pulled in front of him so close, but why cant he ride by the curb like every other cyclist. i'm a cyclist and a motorcyclist and theres nothing worse when a cyclist is in the middle of the road. i think you'll find that the cyclist is the idiot.

  • @videogameaddic1001

You cycle eh? Right up next to the kerb all the time yes?

How about on those narrow places, like the one in this video or where there are pedestrian islands and there really isn't enough space for motorists to pass cyclists safely? You do realise that the DoT, CTC and Bikeability all recommend riding no less than 3 feet from the kerb and moving further away from it for safety when the road narrows.

Too many motorists take chances with cyclists.

  • Anyone else notice he says EFF and the title says EEF, this shows the average intelligence of a cyclist, stay near the curb or risk being ran over, same applies to anything else without an engine on the road...

  • @MetalFan10101

Intelligence? Hmm, I said what I saw at the time, which on closer inspection turned out to be a mistake. Big deal. Luckily I had the video evidence and was able to correctly identify the number plate.

Re intelligence, how about the questionable intelligence of the driver who failed to note my speed was equal to that of the car in front? The point being, you don't need an engine to travel swiftly.

  • @kmcyc No the point being, stay near the curb or use a cycle lane, not the middle of the road. The fact you think its safe to share the same road space as big heavy cars when all you have is a small metal frame, pretty much shows your IQ is equal to that of a chestnut.

  • @MetalFan10101

Wow, I'm really starting to worry about your IQ my friend. Where exactly is this elusive cycle lane? Cycling in traffic has some element of risk sure, which is why it is important to make sure you ride in the correct place. The DoT, CTC and Bikeability recommend 3 feet from the kerb, further when the road is too narrow for motorists to pass, such as the case in this video. I cycle over 8000 miles per year and have a great safety record thanks to riding in the correct position.

  • @kmcyc I didnt say there WAS a cycle lane, i said either ride near the curb OR use a cycle lane providing there is one available, in this case there isnt so you should be near the curb, look at the start of the video, does that look like your 3 feet from the curb ? no, had you been near the curb the whole time and not swerved across the lane in front of him, this would never of happened, it was your fault accept it and dont ride like a tit in the future.

  • it was the car driver which was at fault he was trying to over take the cyclist, when the driver didnt need to, the cyclist was keeping up with the full flow of the traffic , also if the car driver had been on his test the examiner would have failed him , on this manoeuvre,

  • Let's not kid anyone, without being rude. Roads are designed for cars, you have cycle lanes. I don't see the need to sit in the middle of the road in the way of cars when you do not have the power to follow the flow of traffic. It's kind of selfish and leads to you causing a situation

  • @doversole

I don't ride around trying to slow drivers down but from time to time, when the road is too narrow for a safe pass, it is advisable to cycle further into the lane to deter dangerous overtakes. This will generally be for a short moment, say while passing a pedestrian island. A wave of thanks doesn't hurt either.

On this road however, there are no cycle lanes and being a downhill section it's easy to cycle at 30 mph, provided the road is not blocked with traffic.

  • That should be "Cyclist Gets Upset When Overtaken By V776 EEF ".

You deliberately pulled ahead of another vehicle trying to overtake you.

A car does exactly the same thing to you when you want to overtake it in another one of your videos and you say its bad driving. Make your mind up

  • @shauniebabes

The driver was stationary when I passed him. If I did anything wrong it was not staying over to the right initially. This is a narrow road and I was keeping pace with the traffic ahead. There was no space for the bloke I'd just passed to pass me back next to the dustcart and even if there was, he wouldn't have had enough space to brake before piling into the car in front. Note that the police gave him a warning about his driving on the basis of this video.

  • I cycle to work every day and have had my fair share of idiot drivers doing their best to take me off the road... Cycle safely!

  • @timpent

I think we all know where you are coming from, there are plenty of moments like these to be had on the bike. Sadly. Stay safe mate!

  • Isn't it really amusing when little pricks like the driver of V776EEF confuses engine power with muscle power. Perhaps that prick should stop driving and go back to masturbating.

  • @pseudotruth

It's a shame that he cannot read the road or pay attention to what's going on around him while sitting in traffic, distracted by his mobile phone as he was.

  • Dude, have you nothing better to do than roam around the streets like those thugs on their modeds and just give people abuse back? The only difference is your roaming around on your tod... wonder why...

  • @Gazjohnful

Dude, I'm on my way to work, not roaming the streets. There are times that I ride with others but there aren't that many who share my route and can live with my pace. And I don't go around abusing people either. Even the ones who use their cars to try and run me off the road. I simply record the evidence on my camera and hand it over to the police and let them deal with it. This driver was given a warning for their actions.

  • haha that look on his ugly mug. priceless mate priceless

  • French car, British driver... it is not surprice ;)

  • Raaaargghh!!!! A bit of testosterone overload - a bit of exercise might help him work this off, and ease the load on his little car's suspension too.

  • V! 7! 7! 6! .... E! F! F! ??? lol!

  • @LocostSam

Yeah, I know, I know... lol

  • Cycleists have got to stop acting like they are doing nothing wrong just cus they have a camera....

  • @tolerance775

Are you suggesting that I could have cycled through this traffic any differently? After all, I had safely overtaken many vehicles including this driver and the dustcart. It is the responsibility of the overtaker to overtake safely. This incident began when the driver featured in this clip got upset at being passed by a cyclist and wanted to get back in front, regardless of the danger he caused. Note that he was cautioned by the Police for this driving.

  • @kmcyc

What i'm saying is its pretty obvious why you didn't show the tape where you overtook him... you can't overtake on a public street by the way. I think your leaving out some much need part of the tape.

  • @tolerance775

You are joking of course. See 0:05 where I make that 'unseen' overtake. Overtaking on public streets is also of course, legal. See the Highway Code rules 162-169. BTW, check rule 167 part 6: DO NOT overtake ... when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down; broken by the motorist in this video. Not sure if you picked up on this part but the driver was Cautioned By The Police for his driving When I Reported Him.

  • Fat ugly cunt! Think he would benefit from a bit of cycling!!

  • Its your fault. Why u riding on middle of the road?

  • @studz89

Initially I'm filtering by stationary traffic. When the road opens up I speed up and move to overtake the dustcart. You can see how narrow the road is by the space left either side of the car ahead when it passes the dustcart. V776 EEF failed to realise there would be no room to pass a cyclist in that moment, or that they would be back in a traffic queue immediately afterwards. You seem to have missed that too. Remember, leave as much room as you would a car when passing a cyclist.

  • Hate to be pedantic...and by hate I mean love...but you said V776EFF in the vid...not EEF....just saying lol

  • @howzzat1eh

Ah you know, we are all human, prone to make mistakes and all that. At least my mistake was only to get an E confused with an F. Unlike the driver featured here, who made the mistake that two into one won't go and didn't realise they were being filmed at the time. BTW, check out the stills I've linked to this video if you haven't already, they just go to show how useful video evidence is as that's how I was able to get the correct registration number.

  • @kmcyc Yeah I was just larking about! Im a motorcycle rider here in london, I don't have a car, so always on the bike and you see this sort of thing every day...hence why I have my helmet cam running every time I ride. When someone pulls out on you or cuts you up just because you're on a bike, it fills you with a quite...unyielding anger. It's hard to keep your cool sometimes...as I found out in a bad way a few weeks back! Stay safe eh...

  • @howzzat1eh

Yep, you never know what's around the next corner. The camera helps to document poor driving standards. Many drivers have forgotten what it's like to be on 2 wheels and seem to think the roads were meant only for them. It's always best to stay calm even though someone nearly ended your life, hard as it is when the adrenaline is pumping. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, hope it wasn't too bad and that you and your bike are ok!

  • omg the cardriver is a fat pig whos like a baby driving a car, he tries to intimidate a cyclist and then realises that his fat porky chops are on camera then drives off throwing a tantrum, man i would of got my screw driver out and wipped a eye of the fatidiots socket, try that car bully shit with me you would lose a eye, they would have to drag me off you you porky fat pig, tthis is a classic case of fat blob thinks hes tough drivinghis car, fatty you should watch yourself !!!!

  • funny how he whimped out and left after you said you had him on camera

  • @GMSamuelRhine

One of the reasons why I point the camera out is so that people know this is not going to be a word against word thing, there will be evidence of what they've done and what they might be about to do next.

  • @kmcyc yeah it can help deter violence sometimes

  • Ha ha... Fatty looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

  • @smelly6911 hey im fatter than him

  • @Pentdad LOL
