I strongly suggest you know what you're talking about before you criticize. The Qur'an says "There is no compulsion in religion." Regarding slaves; yes, Muslims owned slaves but Muhammad considered it meritorious to free slaves and they were supposed to treat slaves well. Nothing in the Qur'an talks about earning 72 virgins. Muslims are not, for the most part, evil people. And what about Christians burning off the feet off of Jews for not converting to Christianity?
@9bahai9 I do know what I write about. I suggest going to sites addressing Islamic atrocities. As for Christians burning feet. I know of none and is surely not acceptable behavior of Christians. So I cannot answer for something I have no way fixing or addressing. Nor would accept as Christian behavior. Maybe you should ask the people involved?

I would have no hesitation whatsoever to go to most Muslim countries. There have been endless atrocities committed by Christians especially during the Inquisition and many have owned slaves. Of course it is not acceptable Christian behavior. Neither are atrocities committed by Muslims.
Wow, How unobservant I am, I've been seeing this film off and on for like 20 years and today was the first time I noticed that the child that Mr. Wilde was protecting was a Girl. I had always thought She was a little boy!! Amazing how adversity can bring people together without understanding what they are actually saying or what language they are speaking. Great movie, You find yourself cheering for Mr. Wilde through the whole movie!
When making this film, Cornel Wilde wasn't willing to let the python kill the monitor lizard and broke up the fight. The lizard bit Cornel on the leg and wouldn't let go. They had to kill the lizard to get it off him. Cornel had to go to the hospital.
@a0e0roberts Wow..I never knew that. Kudos to Wilde for showing pity on the monitor lizard. A shame the lizard repaid him by latching on to him. I've always felt bad for the monitor, when I've seen this flick,because the Rock python is like 10 or12 feet long,while the lizard was only 3 or 4 feet long. A mismatch for sure, but the lizard was a scrapper and went down fighting (well...biting actually).
