  • YEEEESSSS

  • Why cant this all be done on utube.

  • @Whatever4690 Dumb copyright laws.

  • @YaleBreaker Meh i hate that crap.

  • i feel kinda stupid asking, but were those titles just picked randomly or did someone actually (in an email/comment) demand that you review these games? that would be so funny

  • Half In The Bag is OK (especially the No Brand Con episode with Mike lying on the floor all of a sudden for no reason), but I just can't wait for the next Plinkett review!

  • @Voidhead Actually, I really appreciate how Stoklasa knew to let the Plinkett reviews be for a while and move onto something else. Even with how long they take to produce, to keep pumping out more Plinkett reviews "back-to-back" would only burn him out, I imagine, as well as have their charm wear thin.

  • That said I always lose it when Palpy mention the Gundam games. The names are so ridiculous.

  • I love it when he says "What in the f**k is star wars?!" lol :-p

  • @Horoquin Stop acting like you speak for the entirety of the RLM fanbase. Yes, we'd all like more Plinkett reviews, but Half in the Bag is good as well. Consider also the huge amount of time and editing required for a Plinkett review, versus the relative ease of just recording a couple guys sitting around talking about movies with a bunch of comical jabs thrown in.

  • @Horoquin Hahahahahahahaha Half in the Bag is awesome.

  • @Horoquin Wait, isn't the path of Lucas "unrelenting fan-pandering"? RLM have been awesome mostly because they didn't give a fuck about fans, and bullshit demands for "moar Plinkett" are exactly what will ruin them if they ever start to listen to them, and it's exactly the kind of entitled bitching they made fun of in this trailer.

  • Comment removed

  • @Horoquin You speak for NO ONE but your own obnoxious, ignorant self. Those "friends" ARE funny. Half in the bag is a great alternative to the Plinkett reviews. Plinkett vids take way longer to produce and Half in the Bag are both entertaining and informative to current films.

I can't believe you copy pasted this ridiculously stupid comment into so many of their videos. You're the worst fan RLM has. Ungrateful, entitled jerk.

  • Palpatine looks cool with shades

  • WHAT!¬

  • "YEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!"

Lmao I dont know why that made me laugh so hard.

  • I agree with Palps Review Dragonball Z: Bardock the Father of Goku :D

  • Yeah my new review is up: it's Star Trek.

    What?!

I just finished it yesterday it's--

    WHAAAT?!

  • Palpatine seems to like video games. You should have him do his own videos reviewing video games. Could be better than Zero Punctuation.

  • Comment removed

  • Do Transformers and Indiana Jones KotCS

  • @kariido1 That's his next review! Didn't you watch the Cop Dog review? The ending is a massive "hint" that Crystal Skull is next!

  • I have to ask, Mr. Plinkett: are you mocking people who leave comments asking you to review stuff for them?

  • @cheezemonkeyeater no foolin'?

  • @cheezemonkeyeater YEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!

  • @cheezemonkeyeater Is the Pope-bear catholic while he shits in the forest?

  • One of these two should review the Star Wars Holiday Special, even though Nostalgia Critic. And Cossfire isn't that bad.

  • 31 people don't have an erection.

  • 31 people don't have and erection.

  • the captions actually said 'hey wait a minute are you at the mall'

  • WoW is fucking gay in itself all the people I know who waste time with that shit are fucking fat losers with no life.

Lol he should do the review for DBZ live action movie. That looked fucking terrible.

  • @FenrirSkollXxXLuna I guess that can be said about most people who play MMOs then, AoC and LOTRO as well...

  • The Burning Crusade did basically ruin World of Warcraft. :(

  • Metal Gear 3 review would be hilarious, even if it was negative.*the horrors of Plinkett goofing off with troops*. Also, never thought I would hear of Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire again, let alone here.

  • rlm website according to youtube captions 00:26

but by her man is not calm (say it in the slurring plinkett voice)

  • upload this on youtube! i hate the commercials on the other site!

  • but i love that game

  • Why do people want Red Letter Media to review things he might not have any knowledge of?

  • @samuraikarasu

Heh, you can ask that to pretty much every famous online reviewers community. Like people asking the AVGN to review modern games and such. I also wonder why people do it

  • Palpatine should review video games/anime and Plinkette should review movies!

  • @Raven9940 That's an amazing idea. : )

  • Oh my god, whats wrong with your shades?

    No seriously. Nice clip.

But you better not ever review any world of warcraft game - ever. The fanboys would just ripp you apart for every statement you dare to say against any part of it.

  • @ThePariahDark I think they said the same about Star Wars but Plinkett owned them all. If he can demolish SW, I don't think WoW will be much of a problem for him.

  • Is this out yet?

  • I think Terminator 4 needs to be in there somewhere!

  • @Tmartin1438

Fuck that! if Plinkett is going to review any Terminator movie, it needs to be T3, cuz that is worse than awful!

  • "what the #$% is star wars?"

    "...huh?"

  • 28 people must have really been looking forward to a Cop Dog review...

  • Metal Gear Solid 3 was super

  • lol yes review Dragon Ball, but do the live action movie becuase i dont want you making fun of my real schnizz =[

  • @Boviking Clever girl

  • PlaySsssssssstation!

  • @Darthvader1551 HOLY SHIT, YEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!

  • What the hell is wrong wiih MGS3 palpatine?

  • I love how he says 'Playstation'. Epic.

  • I'm still eagerly waiting on the Cop Dog review.

  • Excellent work sending up your fans and commenters. BTW, when are you going to review When Harry Met Sally?

  • OMG if that´s you doing the palpatine voice you are truly amazing

  • webzone!!

  • My friends told me I can do a dead on impression of Mr Plinkett.

  • I don't want to think about the Emperor's erection...agggh I just thought about it!

  • @AbbeyNormal Like his face, it's ribbed for her pleasure.

  • Ah homie must get a ton of ridiculous review requests. I laugh.

  • I would actually love to read all the review suggestions Plinkett gets

  • that gundam shit was fuckin hilarious!

  • Do Dragonball GT!

  • Something tells me that the episode III review will never come out. That title is cursed.

  • @Daemonprince666 are you kidding? you're forgetting that its not so much about the review, what will happen when that hostage girl comes back for revenge and stuff DUH i mean did you miss the entire plot or what

  • @Daemonprince666 Dude, watch his newest trailer for his upcoming review. It was released today. ;)

  • RedLetterMedia thier a Avatar prono now

    This Ain't Avatar XXX

  • I was dying when I heard this. It becomes even funnier when you realize he's actually making fun of all the dumbasses who tell him what to review.

  • "What in the fuck is Star Wars?"

I love this too much. Great impersonation of Palpatine. Gotta watch all your reviews now.

  • Next you should review Metroid: Other M, and how it totally ruined Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion for Game Boy Advance. Or not.

  • @Motorheadache95 yeah. i got to say they piked a wrong voice actor in it. allso little more inspirational story please. other m is not a bad game. it is just clumsy. i whuld wish they whuld make a nother voice acted metroid, a good one, just to wash the bad taste off.

  • how can you dislike this?

  • Please review Bardock.

  • @BartJ385 I'm suspicious that RLM was being ironic by saying he liked it and then pointing out all the things about it that make it a cheap, generic knock-off space movie. Not only Trekkers hate it, but people who like decent movies hate it.

  • @NerdilyDone I believe the review was pragmatic. He knew that Star Trek would've been remade eventually, considering everything else was/is, and it was going to be as difficult as you wanted it to be. If you could turn your brain off and accept it as a standard sci-fi action movie, it was all right. Still, the fans hearts cracked a little further when they realized this isn't Star Trek. Plinkett knew this and understood the backstory and it's not like it's his favoritest movie of all time.

  • @floriszaire145 It's only a theory. Well, if you're going to make a Star Trek movie, it should be Star Trek, not a generic whatever.

  • @NerdilyDone i liked it, and I agree with plinketts chart showing us that the only bad treks were the mixes between action and story (ex the TNG movies) if you cant make us think, the simplier and faster the better, that why i think that the clone wars is better than the prequels, cause it gets rid with all that terrible story for shit-clay action!

  • @TheInspector3000 I almost never enjoy action for its own sake. Action blended with intelligence -- done well -- is perfect. The trouble with the prequels was not the plot, but rather the lack of it. And the action sucked too.

  • @NerdilyDone interesting insight. If I want mindess action i'll play video game. (and even that sucks without a story) but true. I would have written TPM differently, and focus more on the right of passage of obi-wan and the beginning friendship with ani. Also i would make jar jar less stupid, reduce the pod race scene, and get rid of the clusterfuck climax. thanks for the honest insight, and not just calling me a fag.

  • @TheInspector3000 Lol. Nah, I ain't about hate. Actually, I think the best thing for the prequels would have been to start later on and skip the first movie entirely. Also, get rid of R2 and C3PO, who have no purpose in, then make it so a fourteen year old isn't elected queen. Leia doesn't count as a princess if mom was just elected. Also, did you notice how the prequels totally forget Uncle Owen and everything he said about Anakin? It's a huge plot hole.

  • @NerdilyDone I would have made Anakin look like a nice kid, but is really he's like a demon child. uncle owan is his real brother and he tries to warn obi wan kenobi that he's not the boy he said he is, but anakin frames him and has him relocated before he has time to speak up also, if you want comic relief, you could Mr plinkett. whats wrong with you face!

  • @NerdilyDone Leia is not a princess because of her biological mother. She is a princess because of her adoptive mother, queen Breha Organa from the Alderaanian House of Antilles.

  • @markorenovcevic Fair enough. I wish they had expanded on Breha. It couldn't hurt the prequels any.

  • OH MY GOD... what's wrong with you... Hair

  • this new Review was the worst one, i love RLMs all other work though.

This one was way too mainstream kind of positive for an embarressing JarJar Abfuck's 2009 poopy diapers kind of ST movie.

  • ....I wonder if all these were actually requests he got...

God, anyone remember when "nerd" typically meant you were smart? What happened?

  • @Eldeecue yeah......those were the days......now there 30 year olds who live in the parents basement and have 600 action figures and 0 friends

  • @Eldeecue Lol, nerd never meant that.

  • @NerdilyDone

You...were born in the early 90s, weren't you? This "LoL is an acceptable way of beginning a sentence" problem your generation seems to have....well, betrays it.

At least we can rightly claim that the only ones who do that among my age group are the mentally retarded, or those who just found out about the existence of the internet within the past year. : )

You did manage proper capitalization and punctuation, though, so A for effort.

  • @Eldeecue No, I'm older than that. You're taking "lol" far too seriously. Please stop being a judgemental troll.

  • @Eldeecue *Complains about "lol" on the internet* *Uses smiley*

  • @BartJ385

Plenty of trekkies love or at least like the movie. But naming it Star Trek wasn't just to bring them in, it also served to attract many people who are familiar with and have positive feelings for the old series but are not serious fans.

  • Anyone else finding it totally hilarious how he says "Dragonball Z - Barduck the Father of Goku..."

  • Palpatine may be an annoying bastard, but he's got one thing right: Plinkett deserves to and must be adressed as Lord Plinkett - Emperor of the galaxy of internet criticism.

  • for the past few weeks me and my brother have been constantly saying "moble suit gundm" and "kido senshi z gundam haaaat scraaaamble"

  • Did people seriously suggest he review those things?

  • I think I understand now. Nero's motivation make sense to a certain kind of people: Those who are not the optimistic rose-colored glasses crowd. See I believe that regardless of how inherently good or evil a person is, anyone is capable of anything. That sounds like a trite cliche but it's true. RLM himself once said it's generally easy to get people to follow you on some mad quest. That's why I still insist it's not really a plot hole.

  • Wow, Ian McDiarmid would be proud.

  • Do you have an erection?

    YESSSSSSSSSS!!!

  • @HyperGolem YESSSSSSS!!!

  • YYEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!

  • what in the fuck is star was.........

  • Awesome as this is, if you were ever seriously considering Twilight you should really make that one happen. Anyone can say it sucks but only you can really explain why it sucks.

  • ST09 is pretty similar to Transformers 2007 I believe. Hear me out. Both were written by Alex Kurtz and Roberto Orci. Both pay homages to their respective series. Both are tongue-in-cheek enough for the older fans to enjoy and while it's dumbed down for the masses to swallow. Are they delicious popcorn-drenched fun? Sure, depending on your POV. Are they well-made? Sure, again depending on your POV. Are they great movies? No. Lasting? Not really. Are they nowhere near the original series? Yes.

  • a plinkett review of the Bardock DBZ movie would e p. cool

    just saiyan'

  • Excuse me. Hi. Yeah, um, why wasn't I in this review? I know back in the Phantom Menace review you told me to get back in the Star Trek reviews, but this is clearly a Star Trek review. This is what you have me on here for, isn't it? To comment on blaring inaccuracies and things don't make sense at all? I had plenty of things to say about this one too. What's going on here? Was my contract terminated? Did you suddenly forget that I exist?

  • "Star Trek" sounds like (I haven's seen it.) a movie that is OK to like, because it has enough action, but one shouldn't like it. I doesn't sould like it lives up to the original series.

They should have gone all the way and got a X rating, by showing Kirk and Uhura in a three way with a green woman.

  • I liked the review, but I can't see how you can say you actually liked the film after all the problems you go into. I can't believe you gave First Contact a bad review because Picard swung around on vacuum hoses in that one scene (which I agree was a stupid scene) but then give this steaming pile of crud a good review because you like the transporter and warp drive effects.

  • @chromethink That's because Picard was acting completely out of character in the movies compared to the TV show, Captain Kirk on the other hand was always known for taking risks and getting in over his head with the main action.

Anyways, you've never had a guilty pleasure?

  • @ramik81 I don't see how Picard was acting out of character there...yes he sat in his ready room reading ancient Greek texts once in a while, but he was also a formidable fighter when the situation called for it. And he displayed the same chip on his shoulder about the Borg in the TV series post-BOBW as he did in First Contact...

and the problems this movie has go waaaaaaaaay beyond Kirk's behavior.

  • @chromethink

"And he displayed the same chip on his shoulder about the Borg in the TV series post-BOBW as he did in First Contact..."

Um... no... he didn't. You might say First Contact happened in another timeline (I really wish he'd have adressed this issue in that timeline section), but as it stands, it is 100% irreconcilably inconsistent with his "post BOBW behavior in the series".

Did you even watch the review?

  • @twooffour

I didn't memorize the review of FC, but I recall him making a crack about Picard being a guy who read ancient Greek in the series and then turned into Bruce Willis for the movies, which doesn't jibe with the fact that Picard was kicking ass hand-to-hand all over the galaxy in the series. He also displayed a similar attitude toward all things Borg in the early parts of the episode "I, Borg". And I'd think having his own ship taken over by Borg would put him in an even nastier mood.

  • @chromethink

Yea, and then he changed his mind during that same episode... after having his attitude changed by direct experience and a calm mind, instead of screaming around like a psycho and throwing around with threats and insults at everyone... which the movie all blatantly ignored.

I mean, congratulations for fucking up your entire point.

  • @chromethink

As I've always been saying, that's fine with me as long as we assume it's taking place in an alternate timeline... or they just wanted to make a movie with a furious Picard and willingly sacrificed some continuity for that... but as it stands, it's awfully inconsistent with the series, and he explained that as well as it gets.

  • @chromethink well this seeming pile of crud is and for 90% of movie goers the only star trek film we can stand to watch without blowing out brains out of nerdy boredom

  • @chromethink

His previous ST reviews were basically just giant nitpick-fests (although brilliant ones), this is the first one where he actually provides a "fair and balanced" perspective.

  • @twooffour Not really. His perspective seems to be that of a fanboy who's just grateful for something that has the words "Star Trek" attached to it.

  • @chromethink

Yea, that's why he ripped the TNG movies a new asshole, right?? And praised the shit out of 09 (hint: he didn't)?

  • @twooffour He said that ST2009 was a good movie several times. Did you even watch the review? Did you see the good-bad-good spectrum with this film placed on the far right end of the "good"?

  • @chromethink

No, he said it was an enjoyable action flick with nice characters that still suffered from a horrendous plot and commercial hollywood gimmicks to appeal to mass audiences and make more money.

He clearly gives the creators credit for implementing those tropes in an effective way, but also made clear he was judging it in the sense of "how to appeal to the masses" rather than "how to make a brilliant story".

The entire movie was basically a giant deconstruction of the film.

  • @chromethink

Maybe YOU should watch the review again, because if you seriously think he does nothing but praise the film for one hour, and worse yet, does it because it has "Star Trek" written on it (heck, he even lampshades THAT kind of reaction and how the writers dealt with it), you clearly watched it in delirium.

How can he be a ST fanboi who likes anything with ST on it... if he clearly expressed disdain for the TNG flicks and some episodes from the series?

    You poor, fucking dimwit.

  • @twooffour I never said that he endlessly praised the film. If anything, like most reviewers who say they liked it, he is very vague about what he liked and very specific about what was wrong with it. But his final verdict is that it's a good movie.

And his initial argument supporting the film's significant departure from previous Star Trek movies in tone, is basically "they weren't going to make a Star Trek movie unless it was like this, so suck up and deal." That's pure desperate fanboy.

  • If anyone's desparate here, that would be you trying hard to reinterpret Plinkett's stance into something it clearly isn't and couldn't be clearer about that, because you're not doing a very good job at that.

No... a fanboi would try to justify all the movie's flaws and explain away all the plot holes... in order to reach the conclusion that it's another great Trek movie that preserves the awesomeness of the franchise.

Not... spend an entire hour relentlessly nitpicking apart and...

  • @chromethink

... the plot that doesn't make sense and lampshading all the elements in the movie that have been clearly put in to appeal to mass audiences - with the conclusion that it's a fun, easily digestable action flick and "nothing more", but hey, what'd you expect from Hollywood with their desperate agenda to milk various brands for more money and appeal to the lowest common denominator?

You've clearly missed the metaphorical rape movie and his explanation of its meaning in the...

  • @chromethink

... review - because otherwise you wouldn't be here making your awfully inane accusations.

He says IF we understand all the going-ons that made the movie the way it is... in order to make more money... we might aswell suck it up for 2 hours and enjoy the fun ride, as at the end it's just a mindless entertaining Hollywood flick.

Wow, that sounds about as reasonable and far away from "desperate fanboi rant" as it possibly gets.

  • YEEEEESSSSS!!!!

  • I also have a list. After Star Trek you should review Lost seasons 3-6 and they totally ruined Lost seasons 1&2. PS im joking but kinda serious. That would b awesome :)

  • Red letter media, Ive already saw the Star trek reviews in your homepage and i think they are awesome.

Can you Upload to youtube ... or it will get removed ??

  • Great Sidious impression Mr. Plinkett, but you forgot the English accent :D

    I have fhoreseen it...

  • FFFFAAAAAAAAAAMME.

  • 22 people have erections

  • why cant u pronounce uhura

  • its a good review, but it sucks that it doesnt look like he's going to do ep3 until the new year, i bet. he's making such a big deal building it up, he's probably making it a massive project.

  • You're going to do episode 3 soon? :D

  • 22 People got killed by Sith Lightning.

  • Thats the best Palpatine impersonation in the history of ever.

  • You see, RLM made a fatal error when he cared about what he did and released multiple awesome reviews of things the internet didn't like in a row. The floodgates were opened and the apocalypse drew near as a wave of spam the likes of which few have ever experienced washed over his comments sections.

Still waiting on the Cop Dog review...

  • I liked the burning crusade but not wrath. wrath made me quit WoW

  • review lord of the rings

  • YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

  • THIS IS FUCKING HILARIOUS!

  • "Wait a minute. Do you have an erection?"

    "YEEEEEEESSSSS!"
