i used to wtch his show many years ago. always love the way he timed some of his classical pieces........and ended to the very note.at the right time. he must knw every tone, and every key on that piano intimately ! ..
whatever people may say about his personal lifestyle choices and his flashy ego, the man was amazingly talented. just amazing to watch his hands fly and glide on the keyboard like its effortless. he was definitely a showman, but a genuinely talented one.

My great uncle and him use to play in my great grandfathers bar befor Liberace became who he is he was proud of my uncle becouse he could play just by hearing the music once
He was an incredible man, amazingly gifted and brilliant. People made fun of him for being gay but not one of those people could match him in talent or in grace. In every video you watch of him, you will see a warm smile and a talented person doing what he loved. There will never be another like him, and sadly the world didnt appreciate him when they had him. Now we are left with these videos of his love for music and of a sweet human being....... Thank you for posting this video
Liberace makes me feel like throwing my piano off my balcony right now, lol. He was incredible. Belongs up there with Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Vladimir Horowitz in the piano pantheon.
Everytime I watch Liberace play, I think of my father, who dedicated his professional playing career to emulating Liberace. It brings tears to my eyes to hear that style. RIP Dad and Liberace.
Jesus Christ this man is a piano playing machine! The ability to take a song and play it in different styles is by far one of the most amazing abilities I can imagine. Sure somebody can play a song really well, but can you play it in 5 different styles? haha
@fenix9885 geoffrey used to do it combining a tune called out by someone from the audience with the style called out by someone else , say mac the knife in the style of mozart , abit like this , but off the cuff unprepared !
Absolutely fantastic. THE performer of the century! My question- does anyone know if the piano's action was really firm or extra light? I imagine it would make a huge difference in his playing.

WOW, Liberace is just incredible. Does anyone know what arpeggio he uses at 3:31?
sethgregorymusic 3 years ago 2
sounds like Eb with added 6th, add 9--Eb major pentatonic--starting on Eb6 C6 Bb5 G5 F5 Eb5 but it's too fast for me to hear separate notes
definitely some issues with not locking in (rushing)
calebprime 3 years ago
Its a scale not an arpeggio
