There are still Christians living in the Bethlehem area but many Muslim refugees that were ethnically cleansed from Israel now make their home there- a majority of residents are Muslim. Apartheid Wall surrounds Bethlehem and destroyed livelihood of Palestinian farmers who are cut off from their land.  Only 1 farmer left: Daoud Nasser whose land has been attacked by violent Israeli settlers. Israel cut off electricity and water despite documents showing he owns the land & paid his taxes.

I have been there too, and while I think the Palestinians are putting their future in the hands of incompetent leaders and have been religiously tolerant of Israel, the response from Israel is to create apartheid. The continued development of settlements and taking of land with little or no compensation is tantamount to racial, religious and class warfare. Arabs in Israel have the same rights as Christians and Jews there, as long as you have no connections with terrorism your perfectly fine. I have been to Israel myself. Arabs coexist widely in Israeli society and are free to practice Islam. In fact the soldiers in Israel have kicked out tourests in Al-Aqsa for disrupting Muslim prayers.

I have been to Israel. Explain why there are Arabs out in public in Israel wearing their traditional clothing and practicing their religion in rather then hiding from the Israelis? Last time I was in Bethlehem, there were signs hanging on many peoples' doors that said "first Saturday, then Sunday." In Arabic. The Jewish sabbath is Saturday, and the Christian Sabbath is Sunday.
