i wonder who didnt like this video... ill be glad when ppl learn how to help others instead of lookin down... remember YOU didnt always know how to play in every key. And since im writin i hope the ones who criticizing is filled with the holyghost b/c u cant play your way into the kingdom of god. if muscicians had the holyghost they would have enough love to not criticize ppl. smh
@Jpromark if you saw a 3 year old riding a bike with training wheels, would you criticize the child for not riding a 2-wheeler? If you are sensible, NO. If you saw a 13 year old riding with training wheels? Sensibly, YES!
dude is a beast... people talking about transposing on a CHARLIE BROWN vid.. and obviously this kid can play, and even if he couldn't in all 12, how old is he 16? He got some time! Calm down people, encourage, don't tear down!
@phillyvocalist well he did transposed. Just a known fact transposing handicaps you from becoming better. Noone is not saying he is good. Just learn all the keys. He may in fact know how to play in all the keys but transposing is not a good tool.
@TheMinstrel4life ok dude.. key phrase "known fact".. so that means everyone doesn't have to get on here and play the role of music teacher... lol I don't transpose, I know how to play in all 12, I'm just saying, he's a young organist and he has time to learn, y'all freakin out like just sinned lol
@Cedbd ur absolutely right i play in all my keys very well, but some runs are almost impossible to do in certain keys, and many of the best transpose to get the right fell for the song, even my mentors Kevin Bond, and Johnny mercier. most people that can't play in all there keys are the main ones that complain about transposing.
Well, it is no secret that there are certain things that you do in certain keys that you can't do in others. I do have a concern about this. If an individual has perfect picth or even relative, they can not work with a situation like this. Great skills thoughk but please be careful. Musicianship is very important.
Hi, I am an organist and I learned how to play on a very old organ and a cheap keyboard before I was even a teenager. Because of this I can play in every key. However, I don't quite understand how a video entitled "Give God a Charlie Brown Praise" has comments about what kind of organ he played and whether he used a newer digital Hammond with a transposing option. In fact I think some of you have forgotten the purpose of playing in the first place. I think he did a good job and God bless him.
LMBO!!! When did Youtube become a professional critique website? "breakyourselfnigga..." take your own advise and break yourself b/c the boy can play in every key. Lol. And for anybody, before you have the audacity to make suggestive comments...at least upload something credible of yourself. Lol. People have everything in the world to say about everybody else, but don't even have a video to show for it.
LOL Really I do not have to post anything on here to prove anything and yes I am a professional and I do have the right to say and give advise. Just a known fact transposing is not a good tool to use. Too many people call themselves musicains and don't know how to play in every key.
This is Justin; the dude who is playing on this clip. There was no transpose involved. On this organ it has a tuning bar which allows you to play sharp, flat, or regular pitch. That is what I was moving. Only newer model digital Hammond organs have transpose.
either way its still transposing bro even if its called a tuning bar. the transposer does the same thing. now i could understand if he was using a pitch bend but clearly he wasnt
does this organ have transpose?

Play that in the key before you transposed. Become better by learning how to play in all the keys. Stop transposing.
