@hookiebookie1 The Bible never actually gets to calling it a "sin". The closest it gets to calling ti such is in Leviticus 18:22, (allegedly) calling homosexuality an "abomination" (BTW: the Book of Leviticus also calls eating shrimp an "abomination").
Also, many (uneducated and cherry-picking) Christians preach that homosexuality is a sin because God destroyed two cities (Sodom and Gomorrah), allegedly, for the sin of homosexuality. Suffice to say, that's a lie.
Then there's a passage in 1 Corinthians, famous for being one of the most mistranslated passages in the Bible, which would seem to imply that homosexuals go to Hell, but in fact, it's true meaning is a theological mystery, since what many translated in it as "homosexuals" or "men who have sex with men" was actually a word ("arsenokoitai") which the author of the passage (Paul) never actually defined.
Now, back to Leviticus. The Book of Leviticus does, indeed, condemn all sorts of sexual practices. However, it is suspicious, when one looks at the English version, that the passage that's believed by anti-gay Christians to condemn ALL homosexuals is actually secluded from ALL the other passages speaking of sexual practices and, in fact, appears in a section of the Book that focuses on forbidden pagan religious rituals.
And, finally, last but not least, there's passage in Romans 1:26-27 which, when taken in without proper context, has been interpretated as some indirect condemnation of homosexuality by God, when in fact it's just part of an historical account by Paul about a sudden outbreak of pagan rituals of worship through sex which included homosexual intercourse. So, that passage is not a condemnation of homosexuality per se, but just a historical review.
Those who say that religion, Christianity, God or the Bible are against homosexuality don't have any idea what they're talking about. They are just speaking from their own ignorance and prejudice. They just distort the Bible to use it as an excuse for their moral insecurity.

Straight = no homophilia, no intoxicants, no promiscuity, no criminality. etc. There are ofcourse "heterosexuals" who are deviants as gay people aswell, but gay seem to be much more extreme, and things like "gay bathhouses" of hyperpromiscuity is nowhere in any other common culture.

There are many gay men (including myself) who are married to the one they love who happens to be the same gender who are deeply committed, monogamous & many who are also raising children as well. The LGBTQ community is coming of age having transcended their own internalized homophobia and this spiritual coming out is what has enabled us to be ready for marriage equality. It's just a natural progression.

An animal is not a person (thus, it lacks legal personhood required to be considered capable of acquiring human rights, let alone capable of enacting those rights) and can't sign a legal contract. And those principles can't be changed.

Read, for example, the passage speaking of the girl that was drenched in honey and fed to the bees for helping a stranger.
Sodom had passed laws forbidding any form of hospitality or generosity.
Rabbis take the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah as a moral tale on the value of hospitality, not homosexuality.

@emel0n The Bible wasn't written by God. The Old Testament was written by the Hebrews, and the New Testament was written by Jesus Christ's Apostles. Also, it was written at particular times, in particular societies, and much of what's written in it could not be rationally extrapolated to our own society and time.
The Bible is not infallible.
Homosexuality as a whole, and as it is known today is, biblically speaking, a non-issue. Neither God nor the Bible condemn it.
