I am just looking through some old stuff and yes you need boots. I can do it with flip flops but if you hit it just wrong you wish you were wearing boots. And my my bros 250F I would not even think about not wearing boots to start it. After all if you are going to ride you should be wearing boots anyway, right.
you shouldn't need boots to kick it.
You wanna lean it over to the left and let some fresh fuel run in to the carby. choke fuel and kick
