I was unfair in saying that other denominations don't practice what they preach. It is just sad to see our world turn into what it has. While American Christians sit back and shop at walmart, our ecosystem keeps going down the tube, and the poor and the rich get ever more divided. I was too harsh on other denominations, but we must all take a step back and look at our good and bad ideas, and we must just follow/worship God...then none of this would be an issue.

You are not turning from sin when you have the likes of Rob Bell preaching Yoga and centering yourself from the pulpit. Repentance is the condition of regret for past actions. Doing yoga while breathing deeply so you're more "in tuned" to God does not count as repentance.
2 Pt. 3:9 is to the "beloved" "BUT" (idea change @vs9) is patient w/US/YOU the beloved), not willing that anyone perish. 2 Pet. 2:1 to chp. 3 end is about wrath towards the wicked and destroying the earth with fire. How? non-willingly? In DT. 32:25 Vengeance is mine...I will repay (Hebrews 10:29-32). Is there a "non-willing vengeance?" God takes no pleasure in death itself (Ezekiel 33:11) but can delight in destorying the wicked because it's HOLY/righteous to do so (DT. 28:63, Jeremiah 9:24).
You need to read 2 peter 2:1 in the greek, then study the local Greek belief systems in that area.
The word translated "world" is actually referring to governments. Not the physical earth. It is the order of things. Not the actual earth itself. It is talking about God reigning, not destroying.
