You probably saw the cover of the RenderMan book. That cover came first. This animation was inspired by it.

This looks great! Best pin physics I have seen since Ten Pin Alley. Hopefully this program can be used in a game.

I wrote the program to do the simulation (the dynamics). The rendering program (PixelFlow's simulator) was written by myself and two other grad students (Daniel Aliaga and Yulan Wang).
