HELP!! I never really play fighting games (except super smash bros if that even counts). but im trying to look into a fighting game that is: easy to pick up (for a person who doesnt play many fighting games), maybe has some character customization, has a bunch of content to keep me playing, can win fights by just knowing the basic buttons, and doesnt really need a lot of button memorization for combos. can i get some help deciding between: TEKKEN 6, SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4, and SOUL CALIBUR 4?!?
I tried playing this game, it must be busted or somethin, they won't allow me doing any of the moves, simple down up kick, okay, and what happens next, they do a regular kick, this game is broken
honestly i couldn't play this game, i'd get my ass kicked by the bots and could never find out how to actually do their movies, if i even tried to do something i's get left open for a counter and get my ass kicked.

Street fighter 4 just has all of the same problems as almost every other fighting franchise. I never really cared for online play. Prefer playing locally with a friend.
I dont know about the 360 version of the game but I never heard any complaints.

The entire game is centered around combo learning and repetition, and now with the special moves that are involved, there's barely any skill involved as a weak player can win my mashing that move out at the last second. Fighting still sucks, and the game looks like shit compared to guilty gear or Blazblue.
This game just isn't fun to play online. I mean, I spend hours in training mode trying to perfect my combos only to get whooped by an asshole spamming shoryukens with Ryu.

There are some people that like to stick to their assumption that this game is better than MK 9. This game lacks combos, it's full of spamming, its fighting engine is still very basic, it hasn't improved or diverted much from SFII. It's unbalanced as fuck. Once you learn every characters weakness there ya go you can beat anyone. Beware the community is bitch as hell, expect nasty messages if you beat someone online, or little pricks criticizing your skills. It's a really bitchy community.

well the best players do play it to much. and it as a quite steep learning curve if never played a fighter be4 so you have to play alot to get good at it .so your kind of right . from my experiance at being crap at it and my mate being really good at the game

@Grungeaintdead101 This late in the game's life, most of the online community is the dedicated players who know their characters completely and are very tough to beat. There are exceptions of course but most of the newbies and just plain bad players have left for other games. You can get better of course, but it's going to be a tough learning curve if you only play online.

This game just isn't fun to play online. I mean, I spend hours in training mode trying to perfect my combos only to get whooped by an asshole spamming shoryukens with Ryu.

Street Fighter 4 > Super Street Fighter 4 > Super Street Fighter 4 - Arcade Edition ... Devil May Cry 3 > Devil May Cry 3 - Special Edition > Devil May Cry 1 + 2 + 3 and so on ... They're testing the customers. Looking at what they can do and get away with it, since additionally to that they have particular stuff you can pay and download (characters, outfits)

There are some people that like to stick to their assumption that this game is better than MK 9. This game lacks combos, it's full of spamming, its fighting engine is still very basic, it hasn't improved or diverted much from SFII. It's unbalanced as fuck. Once you learn every characters weakness there ya go you can beat anyone. Beware the community is bitch as hell, expect nasty messages if you beat someone online, or little pricks criticizing your skills. It's a really bitchy community.

SSF4 is actualy much more complex and technical than MK9
MK9 however has some pretty damn amazing perks when it comes to gore.

well the best players do play it to much. and it as a quite steep learning curve if never played a fighter be4 so you have to play alot to get good at it .so your kind of right . from my experiance at being crap at it and my mate being really good at the game

@Grungeaintdead101 This late in the game's life, most of the online community is the dedicated players who know their characters completely and are very tough to beat. There are exceptions of course but most of the newbies and just plain bad players have left for other games. You can get better of course, but it's going to be a tough learning curve if you only play online.

I still like this game WAAAY better than MK. Why? Because it takes more than gore to win me over! In MK, every match is a roll of dice, but in SSF4, you have to plan ahead, think about what the opponent will do next. Blazblue is deepest in terms of story, but SSF4 is deepest in terms of gameplay. Besides, MK was the perfect example of the candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long
