This song is so bittersweet to me. A swirling vortex of mixed emotions. My Mother was a ballerina when she was young, and she passed away this past March just shy of her 91st birthday............I hear this and see her dancing on the clouds.

Whether or not you have lost someone in your life. This song touches us on a level that we can't help but respond to. the melody, the chords everything about it. I dare you to think of your first lost love and not cry. Creation beats destruction I'm sure you would have to agree. Elton you are a genius. Cant remember the first time I heard this song glad I have been reintroduced to it.

There is a part in all of us that this song reaches on a deeper level. The tempo, The chord structure and the repetition of the melody. I find it utterly compelling and have to listen to it over and over. I dare you to think of your first lost love and not cry.
