Hey @ParkourLuka no it isn't only for high drops it is also used for dives and many other techniques it came from THE ART OF UKEMI(martial arts technique about rolling I think) hey but great video but stay away from the gymnastic rolls those all looked painful

@ParkourLuka rolls are used in parkour to transfer downward momentum into forward, like in a jump from a high place its necessary, also in freerunning they can be used to keep the flow as in 1:05, yea sometimes its unnecessary but it keeps stress off the ankles.
