@THEhorde117 In the original, which takes place in 2023 the Skedar promised dataDyne that if they got rid of the Maians, they would grant dataDyne all the alien weaponry they would need to be the most powerful company of all time, but of course, it was a lie. This game is a prequel, and takes place in 2020. The novels Perfect Dark: Initial Vector and Perfect Dark: Second Front spans the time between the two games, and Perfect Dark: Janus' Tears, a comic series, spans the time between the novels.
