ah the memories! soul train was such a wonderful show with all those marvelous black commericals. who could know how special it would become in the hearts of so many? i had forgotten most of these.. i remember wanting a panasonic anything, loved the bright colors and chunky, funky buttons. it was the APPLE ipod of the day for me personally, cant speak to anyone else.
it seems the black people had more dignity in themselves back then than what we call niggas today. just think the black woman went from this to puttin m&m and skittles wrappers in their hair. so sad
im tired of people saying " black people looked better back then " ...PEOPLE IN GENERAL LOOKED GOOD in general back then .. no sluts or idiots like jersey shore to look up too ...
just by watching these vids black pride has vanished! if you look at vids now and the bafoonery on world star you can see black people are embracing being ignorant and ghetto now! I'm almost ashame of being black now.
Wow....the only time I remember seeing this commercials was during the Soul Train Show and that was it! Thank God there was Ebony and Jet Magazines because you would not see them on any other TV channels.
Dammit! Why the hell were they so close to that flame!! I got kind of scared there for a minute! Funny, I knew sulfur 8 stank, but i didn't know that it "got down", lol.
I love how the woman & men from the generation I'm inspired by 70's-late 90's took pride in their appearance. just gorgeous. these days, not so much. ugh get it together my people!
OMG where did u get these. They bring back so many memories. It's almost like our people have regressed in some ways pertaining to our Black pride compared to what you see here.
@LINDAT0864 are you kidding me?? You got a mixed-race president, half of his commie staff members are blacks, racist black panthers getting a pass, affirmative action b.s., can't say nigger anymore without going to jail. Is that what you call pride???
now these were the days when black people love and took pride in they self

On that first Ultra Sheen commercial I'd be extra mad if all a dude wants to talk to me about is what I use on my hair.
