  • now these were the days when black people love and took pride in they self

  • ah the memories! soul train was such a wonderful show with all those marvelous black commericals. who could know how special it would become in the hearts of so many? i had forgotten most of these.. i remember wanting a panasonic anything, loved the bright colors and chunky, funky buttons. it was the APPLE ipod of the day for me personally, cant speak to anyone else.

  • it seems the black people had more dignity in themselves back then than what we call niggas today. just think the black woman went from this to puttin m&m and skittles wrappers in their hair. so sad

  • back when my people had some class about themselves ...

  • afro sheen hmm they never release in the Philippines

  • im tired of people saying " black people looked better back then " ...PEOPLE IN GENERAL LOOKED GOOD in general back then .. no sluts or idiots like jersey shore to look up too ...

    they portrayed a good image

  • On that first Ultra Sheen commercial I'd be extra mad if all a dude wants to talk to me about is what I use on my hair.

  • Black people looked more beautiful back then for some strange reason.

  • I agree fully with reader24's comments.

  • its funny how ive spent somuch time tryin to find the right product for my fro afr sheen is what we need do they still sell it

  • @swolepatrole yeah they still sell it and i just brought some StaSof Fro spray! i couldn't believe they still sell this.

  • just by watching these vids black pride has vanished! if you look at vids now and the bafoonery on world star you can see black people are embracing being ignorant and ghetto now! I'm almost ashame of being black now.

  • damn..that is pretty nice hair :)

  • 3:24 This stuff really works huh? You stopped me didn't you? So seductive. ;)

  • Does anyone know the guy's name who asks the women about their hair in the Ultra Sheen commercials?

    He looks so familiar.

  • Wow....the only time I remember seeing this commercials was during the Soul Train Show and that was it! Thank God there was Ebony and Jet Magazines because you would not see them on any other TV channels.

  • Dammit! Why the hell were they so close to that flame!! I got kind of scared there for a minute! Funny, I knew sulfur 8 stank, but i didn't know that it "got down", lol.

  • Them braids at the beginning of this video was ugly as fuck lol I know it represented Black Pride or whatever but goodness gracious.

  • I love how the woman & men from the generation I'm inspired by 70's-late 90's took pride in their appearance. just gorgeous. these days, not so much. ugh get it together my people!

  • Damn, Ultra Sheen has this commercial block on lock.

  • Reflecto is almost as sympathetic as WALL-E.

  • Damn...my people looked a whole lot better back then...

  • Eww, Sulphur 8!!

  • Man, I miss black people who were like this, instead of all hard and "ghetto" like they is now.

  • @plymouthbelvedere : like they IS now"?? Correction...Like they ARE now...who's GHETTO!!?? Look in the mirror...lol

  • @plymouthbelvedere LMAO "ghetto like they ARE now"?.... Pot meet kettle.

  • 0:5 WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF HAIR DOO IS THAT? LOOKS LIKE A PRINCESS LEA STAR WARS AFRO on STEROIDS!! HAHA HAHA AAAHHAHAHa

  • @mccarrpo LMAO!!!!

  • In the third commercial, you can see her reading a cue card. They should have caught that.

  • Heh... every time I hear the expression "Afro Puff" I think of that RuPaul song where he names all the hairdos and then yells "VANGIE GIRL!"

  • OMG where did u get these. They bring back so many memories. It's almost like our people have regressed in some ways pertaining to our Black pride compared to what you see here.

  • Dy-no-MITE! haha those Panasonics look like toys :p

  • AFRO SHEEN ROCKKSSS fuck relaxerss

  • What is up with that robot? It is scary.

  • Pretty Lady: May I help you?
