Love it or hate it, no female has come close to the emotional presence and total feeling that Janis Joplin exposed and expressed within her music. The bulk of female wannabes just don't get it. A true classic untouched by the passage of time.

Janis sings it SO much better than Faith Hill.

Faith Hill is a good singer, but she tries to make it sound too soft and pretty; Janis isn't afraid to get gritty and raw with it.
