  • @Kaeden728 Yep, videos like this are the reason kids get made fun of or called stupid. I know because I was one of them..

  • I believe that labeling people as LD hurts their ability to grow, it basically makes them handicapped.

  • @Kaeden728 :( dont worry about it buddy! some people probably just have learning disabilities that are more severe then others, thats why this vid is like that its not aimed towards you.. try not to let it upset you ;)

  • all my friends thought I was a retard in school, even though I made the honor roll all throughout high school.

  • CHANGE THE WORLD. MAKE IT MORE ACCEPTING.

  • i have LD and am happy : D

  • this a very cute informative video

  • i have LD...

n sometimes it kills me... it makes me upside coz i cant spell 1 easy lil word.

  • i have this

  • So adorable. lol yep yep.I have a LD No one is dumb just learns differently and sometimes slower.

  • having a learning disability ruined my education what really betrayed me was the system and teachers saying i was incapable now i m big screw up but i still have high dreams of being a cop i already had a few jobs but i don't like thinking about it no kid does i have seen kids with such low self esteem all because of a learning disability they think their uncapable of doing anything and the teachers make them think like that

  • @CovertOPSDragunov I know, the teachers give up on you, put you down, then they exempt you from all that important stuff like math, science, and writing classes( whatever those classes are called) etc, whats the point of going to school if they won't teach you this stuff?? I started doing math and counting money in grade 10 yes its sad.

  • @TheWho58 i hated public school education. right now i am really enjoying college i am enrolled in one of the best colleges in my province and i am also volunteering with the police. stay strong

  • interesting format

  • @bellausa11 it doesnt hurt ur just being stupid u don't have a learning disability

  • i bet they used Paint & Windows Movie Maker in making this video. :)

  • Cool video about learning Disabilities. If you think you are unable to learn something, you are right. If you don't like that, if it's costing you too much for it to be true that you have this learning disability, then I invite you to get rid of it once and for all, right now. My unconditional freedom process can make this fast and easy and permanent if you so choose during the process.

  • 2+2=4 wtf this is bullchit

  • i have 3 learning dicibilites dyslexia , dysorthographia and discacula

  • I have laerning disabilities!

  • I think a lot of kids have been characterized as having a "learning disability" because the parents can't face up to the fact that their kid simply isn't all that bright.

  • @Rogerrumjet Actually, you're sadly mistaken. There are rigorous diagnostic and psychological tests that children have to take before they are officially recorded as having a learning disability. And most of the tests are designed for the subject or subjects that the child is struggling with. How do I know this? I was diagnosed with a math learning disability in fourth grade. You know what else? I have all A's in everything besides math. Maybe you're the one who isn't all that bright.

  • @protonmonkey So silly monkey, you like many others, while not a moron, simply don't have a head for math...you have to take the one area that you're not as gifted in and make an excuse by calling it a disability? Own it brother, just say "yeah I suck at math" as you collect royalties for your 10th novel on the best sellers list.

  • @Rogerrumjet Do you know what the DSM is? Of course you don't. You should look it up someday. Maybe I should be calling you a monkey, but I won't because that would be dehumanizing you. Your not a psychologist so stop trying to be one.

  • @Rogerrumjet Yes, you're actually right. The definition of a learning disability actually overlaps many features of a mild intellectual disability (M.I.D), you could even argue that they are indeed the same but unfortunately parents find an M.R diagnosis devastating so they welcome the L.D label instead because they believe it will give their child a better prognosis, but of course it won't. In my opinion what they refer to as a learning disability is just high functioning retardation.

  • Learn how visual attention works, what happens when it fails, and how it leads to learning disabilities: search "Dr. Laurie Cestnick" and "harvard university" for a video. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • With LD its fucking hard playing the guitar...

  • very cute :)

  • screw telling your parents gardians or teachers, they would just say, awee, you should stop just being lazy and stop being dumb, & you should study more,

i stuggle hard with math as im in the year 9 its upsetting i have no one to turn to TT.TT.

  • i am age 20 i have learning disability's and also today i found out from my brain scan i have got astrophy of the brain i am so sad

  • I am not denying that there are cases in which there is such thing that may be defined as a learning disability. However, the educational field's way of identifying such is completely absurd. If it was judged that a person of my size and height should be able to run a mile in 6 minutes and yet I only could run it in 8 minutes, then would they then diagnose me as having a running disability. It is absurd because so many students are diagnosed as LD when the truth is that they are simply lazy.

  • @Cwhzup13 You are the people who make the term "learning disability" something that it's not. People who have learning disabilities have gone through several tests to figure out exactly what their deficits are and generally have a plan put in place, an Individual Education Plan, to help them learn in a manner that they can understand. To say that they are lazy shows how truly ignorant you are. That is what our world DOESN'T need, more ignorant people. Education is KEY.

  • @aliciahsp Alicia, thanks for your response. I want to make it clear that not once did I deny there to be such a thing as a Learning Disability. In my student teaching experience I taught a student whose brain was not well developed because she was a crack baby. She was not lazy. She consistently tried hard but just couldn't grasp the concepts. However, there are many who are diagnosed with LD who are simply lazy and I will not back down from that statement. It's not ignorant....

  • @aliciahsp My problem is that there is a lack of empirical testing to identify learning disabilities. The testing is only presuppositional. There are many who seek to be tested only because they want an easier route to success. My friend acknowledges that is the only reason he ever was tested. The system of identifying is one that is incredily broken and needs to be reformed in order to provide for steps to help those students who are truly in need.

  • @Cwhzup13 Fck you, son of a b'. I'm not lazy and I'll kick your behind. Ignorant pos.

  • @visionimagify Obviously you are lacking in social skills. I did nothing but state my opinion on the matter in a very cordial way and you respond by cussing at me. Completely unnecessary. Not once did I say that there is no such thing as a learning disability. I simply said that the system is so flawed that so many are diagnosed when the truth is they are simply lazy. Based on the logic used to diagnose LD, I must have RD because I should be able to run the mile in 8 minutes.

  • isTh is scarey

  • You know what does piss me off? When I was in high school, I would see kids who would fool around in the classroom while the teacher was trying to teach, making my learning experience difficult. And then some of these same kids would ask me if they could look at my work. And these kids would try to pass themselves off as people with learning disabilities. To me, they weren't learning disabled: They were just kids who were too lazy to learn.

  • THIS IS MIND RAPE THMB ME UP IF YOU AGREE.

  • i have learning disabilities. it really hurts.

  • A WE SO ME AWESOME AWE SO ME 1 + 1 = 2 YAY :) YAY THANK U NAMASTE :)

  • I use this video to help LD understand about the condition. Is there any way you could get it captioned?

  • =( i feel so afraid of commenting manny pp would not understand the sichuation im in and as far as i shearched no one cared so y bother comment about my problems

  • Lysdexia

  • dyslexic power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Paylothewrestler yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have NVLD (Nonverbal Learning Disability) and its hard to keep up with work at school and remember things, so i get teased for some of my bad grades.

  • I love vids like this. Its cute and informative and let's kids know that people with LD's aren't weird they just learn thing diffrently. And her friend makes me think of ike from south park! (^_^)

  • I have an LD my sert figured it out when i was in grade five

  • I have tendency to talk to myself as a I think...

  • I suffer from a very sexy learning disability. :(

  • I have a auditory learning disability they discovered when I was in the first grade. I received special education untill the sixth grade, and continued always having this resource as a way to help me learn. Some say, one can out grow such disabilities, yet, the history of the learning disability always stays with you.

  • this is a funny yet a helpful video

  • Comment removed

  • hmmmm, good clip, but they don't tell you about people who get the information but always keep forgetting lol

  • i find it difficult to keep certain information in My brain. i don't worry about it. i believe it may be inaccurate information anyway and that May be why my brain refuses to keep it. i let it go. for instance, i can not remember much geroge bush said, my brain Knew he was a person who manipulated truth to fit a message He wanted the public to C.

  • thanks for this vid.

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

  • i been LD all my life the reason why i was LD is because 1) i lived in a dysfunctional family, 2 most of the special ed teachers just doing there job just for the money and 3 i learn in a different way. i been in college for 3 years and to tell you all the truth is that the classes that i was been taken for the last three years in college in my opinion i should of been taking more challenging classes in high school but can't look back now i must keep going.

  • If god is all kind, all powerful and all knowing why does he allow millions of people to suffer from severe disabilities?

  • maybe the aren't dis-abilities after all mat. the suffering comes from tying to make one size fit all. we learn in different ways but the world has trouble grasping that concept and create a mold. throw away the mold and u will find flowers blooming in it's place.

  • ??????? Lol, you're seriously wacko.

  • a god who would do THat is no god in my eyes dear cursed. maybe That is the liar god.

  • I'm learning disabiled and that may very well have to do with the fact that my mother smoked when she had me and was physically abused (but I was carried to full term). I don't think that God had anything to do with that.

  • Lol... Please take a moment and read what you have just said..... Stop reading fairy tales....

  • @MrXXCursedXx You are another reason why I don't believe in God. Why would God punish a child because of bad parents? Why should a child suffer due to a disability? Where do you get your "information"? I would like to see this. My parents aren't bad and have always tried to help me with my challenges. Why should they be in pain and why should I when we haven't done anything wrong? I believe in Karma and you will have a child or maybe children with disabilities due to this comment.

  • This video is geared for young elementary school students. It is pointless to complain that this video is childish when it is made for children in the first place.

  • Then can someone make a vid geared towards 11 yrs n up? Most of my teachers thought either I had LSS (Lazy Student Syndrome); like a fast learner who gets too bored, or some felt my LD caused the problem but they failed to find any solution.

  • I do agree with you on that. There should be more videos about LDs for an adolescent/ teen audience on youtube. I wasn't trying to sound rude to you or anybody else. I am sorry if I did.

  • You didn't sound rude to me. You were simply pointing out that the video is for the much younger people, just starting out. Some of us fall thru the cracks, no matter what. We all have a lesson to teach others. We teach others how difficult life can be and to not take anything for granted. Okay, now what are we to learn? I'm still stuck on that one.

  • I have a receptive disorder, which means the brain doesn't process information well enough to understand, especially following instructions, directions, read grids, read maps, etc. Too many times people say, "Don't worry about it. It's no big deal." When I offer to help with a project and fail to comprehend the instructions, it hurts when one will say, "Don't worry about it. I'll get someone who knows how to do it." Where does that leave me? Doing nothing. It just goes on n on, everyday.

  • All my school life i had LD..1st i dident care then i fund it inbarrasing.. coz there were nice girls probly thinkig "He's Stupid"

in school..thts whn i stoped Learning..

Am 18 now dident know wht LD really standed for..

All my school life i was in the clouds..

  • I can understand why you are irritated by this videos.

Maybe its directed towards the young generation under 10s

  • well it did One thing good at least. it brought us together.

u r a psersn with much to give to the world cursed, your anger hides it though.

the system is changing as we speak and soon the world will appreciate u for your abilities and come to u for guidance.

  • I have Asperger's and no diagnosis of learning difficulties, but it is affecting me academically (I'm an A level student) and my parents I don't directly have learning difficulties but academic problems related to autism. Luckily I'm at a good college where the Additional Support Team know what they're doing and are not ignorant like lots of places.

  • @MrXXCursedXx I tink so two!

  • why can i write in opposite direction and make no mistakes

  • Oh mate dont worry xxxxxxxxx

I have a LD and I am good for loads of things, so are u, please dont feel like this xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Your probably really smart and gifted you just grew up being bullied and teachers not beliving in you i know how it is its fucked up i had to be in a special ed classroom since 3rd grade now i m in 10th grade and i fuckn hate it and i told my teacher how spec ed ruined my life and she said forget about it i swore at her cause spec ed ruined my life it doesn't go away i deserve to be somewhere better, your really smart and you don't know about it learning disabilities are fake your smart

  • I feel your struggles, Covert. I was put in LDG, but I wanted to learn the subjects they were taking me out of. If you're too slow, "you're not trying," so the pressure is there, or "don't worry about it." End result? You don't learn. . . Plain and simple. I had a teacher who told me to always do my best. Now, I'm considered a perfectionist and have OCD. Will someone please take a stand and offer help. . . Or are they all going to just sit there and judge and/or ignore us?

  • srry for double post but @VanDowall:I choose to ignore and judge...and blame me for starting a fight cuz i was born for fights so give me hell if u wanna..I'll just give you more in return >=(

  • @VanDowall. When you short change a student, you short change the future. Just because they have LDs, doesn't mean that they should be ignorant. They should worry and be told that they can do better. They should have expectations and be corrected. They shouldn't have work that is not age or grade level work be accepted. They might need more help to get there, but many of them can. Just because you have LDs doesn't mean you should be ignorant or have standards. They should be pushed.

  • @hannahwig Exactly. Apparently, I'm the one who's always pushing. It's just easier for others to walk away, 'cause they don't want/need to be bothered. Enough of that crap! People are always protesting about equal rights, whatever the case may be, so why can't we stand up and be heard? FODE = Falling On Deaf Ears.

  • omg OCD? I FEEL BAD!!!

  • Just because U haven't met your strengths, that doesn't mean U don't have them. I'm 45 & don't know how to drive, yet others feel I'm unable 2 learn without even giving me a chance. Never h8 yourself. You can h8 your LD, yet we all need 2 learn how 2 work w/ what we've got. Easier said than done, I know. I, 2, have OCD & some people take it 4 granted. I couldn't figure out how 2 read grids until I was 31. I still cannot read a map. I can go n on. Finding some1 2 help should be our goal.

  • it means ur fucked up like me and ur parents hate u and friends use u and all u think about is suicide and drugs to just stop the pain. this mental illness destroys ur life. thank god for the people that dont have this. i wish i wasnt born i hate myself.

  • Hi Scotty:

I hope someone listened to your cry for help. I am worried about you. I read your comment and I'd like to say that we are all better at some things than others. Every single one of us. I have talked to all sorts of really bright and successful people, and they have problems too. I think the good thing about a diagnosis of learning disability is that it means someone has recognized that there is a problem and that there are ways to help. I hope you find someone to help you.

  • i hate my life, my parents torture me like hell! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY AND I'M GROUNDED! UGH! PARENTS!

  • Don't hate yourself, Scotty! There is too much hate in the world now as it is. I hate my learning disorder (Receptive Language Disorder) and that people are not willing to help. If anything, our LDs need to be looked at, seriously and not like a life sentence and nothing can be done about it. Too many people believe we're not able to learn - without even trying to help - and that's got to change. Who'll help is my question.

  • you forgot how they make millions selling pills and books on how is your childs falt that his school is a tedal shit hole

  • Thank you for fixing that video. I think it gave me a learning disability.

  • brain washing propaganda!!!! there are SIX senses!!! not FIVE!!!!!!!

  • whats number six them idot

  • they are diseases distributed by the federal govt thru vaccines, autism is an example (AIDS was distributed by the Bayer corporation), mercury destroys the brain.....type in Robert Kennedy autism, research any of it, its all true!!!

  • There are no learning disabilities however there are teaching disabilities!!!

  • robw1031....yea....and cancer doesn't exsist ither huh?you really need to grow up and get your head out of your ass.we dont live in a one size fits all world.educate yourself before opening your big mouth pal.

  • Comment removed

  • OK Teach.... Those of you who live and learn in a linear world will never understand. If you keep on teaching kids who are non linear thinkers in a linear fashion you will continue to fail. However; if you insist on doing so please; quit demoralizing them with terms like disabilities. The end result is a bright kid with low self-esteem.

  • disability means different things to different people.teachers are not always to blame.some of us are born this way.and god knows we try in every way we can to make it happen, but for some of us it just doesn't work.we have to except our limitations.

  • I have Awareness Cards for some disabilites on my website. I am always looking to design more, so if you are interested please search

Mom 2 Four Printing and Gifts

and let me know what other designs you would like to see.

Best wishes to all families that love someone with a disability.

  • i am a sofmore in high skool and my parents say i have a learning disibility

but i am trying hard in skool

i used to be in special ed classes and now im not so i think im doing better

i think anyone can do anything they wont if they put there mind to it

    anyways ya

    nice video

sry for my bad spelling never been a good speller

  • Thanks For the video!

  • 1:32 is wrong for a few things like dyslexia for it's the brain that messes it up not the LD

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you, thank you thankyou.

  • arr he is cute DYSLEXICS ARE COOL LOL

    (which include me lol)

  • Very very very cute video! I will you this for my presentation next week! Thanks for your hard work! 5/5!

  • i have languages learning difficulties

  • ADHD XP thats meee, but I'm glad I have it, because I have a talent from it (art I ended up a professional artist at the age of 14) SOP it is never a HORRBLE thing

  • The person who created this video helped us to understand what it was like to have a lot of hard time on learning things, specially when taking a math class.

I would have to say that this is lovely but could be sort of a good thing for each school. Peace. =)

  • How do you actually know when you have a learning disabillity? sometimes I have trouble concerntrating in school, but I'm also Depressed alot, And I get anxiety more than anyone should? i would look it up, but can someone give me a breif description?

  • Comment removed

  • DO you think the person who made this get extra time to make it?

  • That was just adorable! :D

  • GOOD i AM A SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHER AND i THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD WAY TO EXPLAIN THINGS

  • i am a LD and even though I'm in Jr High I love this video lol

  • To those with LD, keep your heads up. I'm a 23 ear-old college student. Instructors don't like me as well, because I ALWAYS ask for help and I don't have all of the answers. I keep going in college and get the job done. I'm studying to be an Air Traffic Controller.

  • I have LD, ADHD and other disibilities and it's hard enough getting through everyday without the help of kids teasing you about something your born with!

  • @Kwstar1 bullshit

  • that may make them realize things are getting out of hand

  • wow how cute and thanx for this great video

  • What a cute video.

  • Now that was cool.

  • Keep up the great work - it would be awesome to see more videos like this!

  • Well done, eveyone learns in different ways, and some need more options that others, I think this was very nice.

  • Really not making fun.

  • @missyoulovesen This video was made to explain what a learning disability is to those who are very ignorant.

  • ur shit

  • LOL! That was a pretty cute video.

  • I think you have LD

  • It was babyish with the yays, but i liked it! You sound like my age almost. With the hesitation and all. I know i have learning disabilities. But thx for the info. It's very hard for me to learn and remember things. So this really helped.

  • This is a cute and terrific video for kids. It helps that someone can explain LD's to kids at their level. I have CAPD and a math processing disorder and didn't get diagnosed until I was 23. Sadly I was bullied in school because of my undiagnosed LDs. I'm so glad these days with any disability we are more open in explaining them to kids where they can learn how to be compassionate for those who have disabilities.

  • Very well done

    Troy's Amazing Universe

  • iam ld no joke iam 15

  • This is a great explanation on learning disabilities. I have a learning disability in writing and as a younger child I had problems in reading. I should show this to my friends since they don't know what learning disabilities are. They just think I'm lucky because I don't have to take French classes and they don't realize how hard I've had to work.

  • hahhahahaha alit90000 thats funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I read the comments before Id watched it thru,,why all the hate? its a kids take on learning disabilities,,from the comments youd think it was taking the piss outta special needs kids or something- I thought it was pretty good myself WELL DONE

  • what the fuck i bet the person who made this is already dead

  • Do that fucking video pisses me off, stop calling us Lds, like were a race of aliens. This video is shit, the creater of this video should rott in hell.

  • People with physical disabilities often abbreviate the names of their diseases. I have a friend with cerebral palsy and she just tells people "I've got the CP." Once she got a good laugh when someone got cerebral palsy confused with cystic fibrosis and she was asked why she didn't have an oxygen tank. She said "Um I said CP not CF!"

  • No, we're a race of people who need aid in our daily lives, unlike others who swim thru life with little effort. Unlike most, we don't take knowledge for granted. We charish each bit and piece of information we can grasp and we grow each day from it. All the quick learners don't appreciate a damn thing 'cause it's so easy for them. No big deal -- to them.

  • I have math disability/math phobia :(

  • Im a Ld and proud, fuck shit!

  • likewise, it was easy peasy to "learn" that i would need 43 prayer to use "protect from melee" (got 43 pray now though!!).

And learning that runecrafting needed a TALISMAN or tiara (or Abyss, which i usually use, and often suceed)) was easy too.

in conclusion, I realize that It only makes certain facts harder to learn, and I no longer find these "certian facts" harder to learn.

If you want to know more about Jagex' wonderful creation, head to their site now!!

  • a learning disability can be partial, i have autism which is claimed as a learning disability, but i beg to differ, why?

Well, (don't mind me going off topic here, kk) when I

first learned that on runescape, you need 44 runecrafting to make nature runes and 91 RCing for double nats, my brain had no trouble learning this.

when I realised I would need 60 attack to weild a d scimmy or dds, i had no trouble getting it into my head that I only need 60 and not 86!!

  • Wow this video is fantastic, i wish it could be shown on tv....

  • why?

  • An even better question: Why not??

  • I have a reading disability.I wouldnt consiter it dislexia.I'm a pretty shitty reader if that counts. That stick figure sounds wierd.

  • I bet even the experts couldn't put it better. When I was in high school, I knew quite a few people with LDs and although they had some difficulties, they were quite popular as people and their LD never really mattered in places it shhouldnt have to matter.

  • LD's. I took it serious until I heard of this wonderful abbreviation.

  • I am currently majoring in ECE, and i think this is a great video on how to help children understand about LD's..You could even do a series on the different kinds of LD's and other issues that children with special needs have!

  • i have learning disabilities and add attion defect disorder.

  • I think I have whatever that was called they said.

  • well that not really how it works but i'm about to sleep so i can't explane (note: i too have learning probloms manely reading writing and dislexya.)

  • i have Learning Disabilities

  • great, what a brilliant information film, this should be used to inform the general public.

  • Cool, I hope someone could relate now, somehow

  • This is a great video. I am 38 years old and was identified as having a learning disability as a child.

I am now a teacher and have worked with kids with L.D.

in the past. This is the most kid friendly explanation of learning disabilities I have seen in a very long time. Thank-you for making it.
