  • I think you shouldnt have the chicken in that small of a cage they need more room

  • well, she isnt in there all the time. people keep parrots in cages and no one minds. And the ones you eat eggs from live in cages this size only theres maybe 3-6 of them in there instead of just one. Camilla is a very pampered lady, trust me! I adore her. She is a house pet and gets loads of time outside her cage :)

  • How come she doesn't lay her eggs in a nest box? :-S

    Strange hen...but very cute!

  • aww! that's cute.

  • make ya wonder what idiot picked it up after it dropped and said hmmm i think ill eat this

  • I know. Ick. Theyre warm, wet and a little slimey right after theyre laid, too. Makes them even more appetizing!

  • do you let them grow as chicks

  • I would love to! But most of my hens never go broody. Especially this lady, she eats them as soon as she lays them.

  • Did the egg crack or break when it hit the floor of the cage?

  • Yes. Unfortunately the eggs pop right out, with some force, and crack on the cage floor. Then camilla hops off her perch and eats it! If Im lucky, Im right there when she lays them and I can grab the few that dont break. Or, I can sit there, with my hand under her, and wait while shes pushing and catch the egg.

  • ew but you just said theyre slimey:makes face: practice safe egg catching wear a glove

  • I heard a loud thump, well duh it had to crack!
