  • big muff pi tone wicker... yeep 1:07

  • Comment removed

  • whats better, devi ever shoegazer or big muff with wicker?

  • @newmoonsamesun

Depends what you actually want. If you want a Big Muff sound, buy a Big Muff. There are even really good Muff clones that would cost the same as the Devi Ever Shoegazer. Devi Ever makes some really cool fuzzes though if you're seeking something different. I have a Rocket which sounds great.

  • @PantheonLincoln Thanks man, I ended up getting the Shoegazer, its pretty rad. Ive played the Rocket at my local shop, that pedal has a monster of sound. :)

  • you should buy a new camera and new pair of shoes.

  • I wouldn´t be surpriced if this guy wakes up in the night screaming "I´m not Jack Black!!". Or perhaps he is JB...

  • would really apriciate a reply from anyone;

in essence is this just the usa big muff pi with added effects or does its sound differ, if so which is better?

  • shoot this out with the MXR 108 Fuzz. PLEASE :D

  • sick !

  • how many pedals do u have

  • dude. you are jack black.

  • Would this be good for stuff like White Stripes/Nirvana/QoTSA/Smashing Pumpkins?

  • @Eldererr Search up the pro guitar shops demo of this pedal and skip to 4:00. Be the judge for yourself

  • @Eldererr Well, those bands all use Big Muffs...

  • @Eldererr it would be perfect. although for nirvana i would recommend Boss DS-1 or DS-2...

  • Just ordered on so I can play some White Stripes.

  • Don't know whether to hate your or love you, you've got EVERYTHING a musician could want. Complete with the goddam motherfucking snakeskin boots...

  • Black Crowes intro song?

  • why hello Mr Jack Black. Great vid btw :)

  • so sweet man cool

  • awesome pedal

  • This Dudes Voice Kinda Sounds Like Shane Dawsons

  • @kornmetal12 No he doesn't.. He sounds like Jack Black.

  • gearmanndude, would love to see u do a demo of the ehx germanium 4 big muff - looks v promising and distinctly lacking in your heretofore laudable portfolio ;-)

  • Gearman, can you please do a video of this with the soudwave breakdown?

That would be super duper awesome

  • with the tone knob bypassed, to me, a Big Muff comes to live

  • @lollo1991 i have this pedal I LOVE IT i bought this one over the normal one, because of the switches. I have the tone knob of and the wicker switch on. It made me distinct during a lame jam at school with at least 8 people improvising loud and out of time. It is definatley worth the extra money

  • damn~ i've seen all these stuff on bentley music. Never know much bout them. After seeing much people getting it on guitar forum i decided to google it. And here i am drooling over the tone it produce, good stuff.. So its a distorion pedal right, how much do u purchase this thing? I would say that this thing crushes boss distortion pedal stompbox~

  • Hey GearMan, how do you compare the Muff (incl wicker) to the McPherson White Fuzz... which do you rate better... thanks man keep up the legendary work!!!

  • great vid, thanks bro

  • John Frusciante rullez

  • this guy sounds like jack black

  • @christopherpap ya haha i thought that too

  • @christopherpap it is

  • Man, are you sponsored or how to you afford all this pedals?

  • @Marguns some he gets for free, but he tries out a bunch, sells most of them, the few he likes he keeps, but its like a cycle, he gets new junk, sells it, and with that buys new junk

  • jack black?

  • Can i use a big muff for a tool type of sound?

  • Can you get a Hendrix-esqe tone to this?

  • @TheNextHendrix1994 This was the pedal that he used mainly I believe.

  • @WolfpikaNetworks

Dude are you kidding me?! Jimi used a modified FuzzFace. However I do own this pedal and it works great for Hendrix tone.

  • im looking for a good fuzz for black keys stuff. should i get this or a seymour duncan tweak fuzz?

  • @TyLaw321 I went with both and a boost, haha ;) I actually think the bigmuff.

  • Get a meastro fuzz mfz 1

    or a univox super fuzz

    peace

  • @TyLaw321 I love my muff and I get a good sound when I play Black Keys

  • I saw your video on the regular Big Muff. I cant decide which to get... The original or the tone/wicker. Does the tone/wicker have all the same mojo as the original (ie, does the pedal loose the magic with all the extra circuitry)? Which do you prefer? Love your vids, keep it up man!!

  • @lando885

Tone wicker all the way, not only does this have all of the great tones of the regular big muff, but it has tonnes more versatility aswell.

  • @lando885

like lufc550 said, it is more versatile and still has the original tones of the big muff. also its smaller so if you need space this is better.

  • @lando885 I got both. And they seem to have small differences enough to warrent having 2, but not enough to warrent "NEEDING" 2. You can make em sound similar, so if you can only get one, just get one. If you can get 2. Get 2. If you could only get one, might as well get the Wicker, because it cuts through without a Tubescreamer. To make the original smooth muff cut, it needs a screamer. This doesnt.

  • great demo!

  • What's the song at the start called?

  • It's called "Come On" by the Black Crowes off of the Lions album. Great song, even though Marc Ford wasn't on it.

Keep up the good work gearmandude!

  • Try turning the sustain up---and showing how it holds a note!!!!--that is the whole point of a Big Muff!!!!!!

  • nice video, jack!

  • is that jack black? sounds just like him

  • haha, he really does, doesn't he?

  • I have the fuzz bug bad. Just bought two Devi's. This one just might be next.

Thank you, Mr. Manndude, for the excellent commentary, quality and playing.

  • omg me too, big muffs, dallas arbiters, fuzz faces, fulltones, i cant get enough of fuzz!!!!! only im broke at the moment :(

  • it will be mine, O yes its will be mine!

  • Good vid, Jack. I've always been partial to the classic E-H products from the 70's. They can put all the switches and knobs they want on it, but it's still a Big Muff; just with various tonal enhancements. Always been a true-blue workhorse, though. I'd recommend it to anyone for overall tonal diversity. -EB :)

  • killer pedal.

    for 80 bucks?

    a bargain.

  • This thing sounds awesome. I like how the wicker gives it more tones than the regular Big Muff.

  • I totally agree with you
