sodium polyacrylate - chemistry experiment 4. Old Version .

2 questions, why does one version of sodium poly acrylate turn water to powder and the other to gel?

Also, why is a micro burner necessary for the second scene with the gel lol?

@phdharok ah 1 version must have more water in it i should turn to a powder but if you add to much water it turnes to a gel. and its a bunsen burner not a micro burner - micro burner is much smaller and i probz left it on from doing other experiments ha no real reason for it being there in the vid

thats just steam as i used hot water. the water i had was very cold so i heated it a bit to make the reaction a bit faster
