@ruizgerry it was today, thanks for asking. he talked mostly about how i need to make my tone bigger. he is an amazing trumpet player, and he absolutely blew me away. on the other hand, he assigned me a lot out of arbans, which sucks because i hate classical music. FML

This is a beautiful song, and Arturo Sandoval is a very good trumpet player, but he is just not compatible to Rafael Mendez. (who was recorded 50 odd years earlier.)

Some times on the more complicated trumpet segments it felt as though Arturo was almost out of control, and the notes were choppy and did not blend smoothly.

still, Arturo Sandoval is one of the best trumpeters today.

i don't know why you need to compare these two trumpet players but each player has different aspects. arturo is great, so is rafael. but i like the song more when sadoval plays the trumpet especially in the trumpet evolution album.
