It's a shame - This gets recorded two years later, the video tones down the glam aspect, the production cuts back on the hair metal guitar and marks up the snotty vocal style of this song, and we have a grunge classic, and Enuff Z'nuff is mentioned in the same conversations as Nirvana.
@frankyboynyc Funny I never liked Poison at all but I can see how you would think that. But to me these guys were completely unique probably because they are Beatles influenced and psychedelic, it really was kool!
Man...if these guys had toured with Cheap Trick I may've had to end it all with excitement hahaha !!! Great band...even though I mainly favour the grotesquely HEAVY these guys were a breath of fresh air and I reckon gave the mighty Cheap Trick a kick up the arse !!! Much missed...
the only thing wrong with this band is the singer. he sounds annoying. that's about it. but i really love the instruments in all of Enuff Z'Nuff's songs, but i absolutely HATE the vocals!

@TheKlaraCZ Back in the '80's America actually had some pretty girls, instead of all fat jean-clad dyke garbage & chlorine skanks with plastic bolt-ons. If U like this sort of aesthetic, try Bulgaria =) Women actually dress like it, & there's a bit of casual femme vibe just 2 flip off the commies that used 2 rob the place. Of course, if U R an American girl U may as well stay home, as they R total krap compared 2 just about N E others N E where. @ least make an ATTEMPT 2 look nice.
@clm1224 It's the jews who killed it. It was just a conduit 2 promote satanism & death, but since these guys pimp neither, they never got much play. Remember, in America U R only allowed 2 promote happiness & sexuality if U R a 'homie' =) 'Cuz U know, if youz white, it must B your mission in life 2 dress & look as krap as possible & croon tunes of self-hatred & despair =D Thank you Holly-Weird! & finally after decades of such chess, they got idiot whites convinced 2 vote 4 chimps.
@Deathrape2001 what's obvious is that you are disturbed. how 'the new thing' inspired your dribble, that is not so obvious. oh right, it was a jewish conspiracy that kept enuff znuff from getting much play even though this and 'fly high michelle' were on heavy rotation on MTV. jews promoted 'homies' and depressed satanic guys from Seattle instead so that decades later, we would vote for 'chimps'. oh, okay. now i see the light. thank you messenger of hate and nonsense.
@18bites Go on with your 'kill-the-messenger' dance. Everything I say is obvious & correct & U know it. Yes I know U must B very bored & so on. Might I suggest U find a more worthwhile hobby than trolling. Gym membership maybe?
Ha Ha! Ya know, these guys were prettier than most of the girls who followed them during that time. I was playing music during that time as well. The best time for rock bands, 1986-1991. Lots of pure fun and not a bunch of crap as like today. Far from gay, every bit of strait.....I know. You would not believe how many drop dead hot females out there STILL go nuts after rock guys that look like this. If your a pretty boy, watch the F$@k out!!!!
@RoccaforteAmps No, actually their drummer in this video, Ricky Parent, lost his battle with cancer in 2007 and passed away. He does NOT play with The Veronicas. Just to clarify. R.I.P. Parent and Frigo!!!!!
Love these guys! However, I have a video of them hanging around and they seemed to have treated the lead guitarist pretty shitty... Maybe it was just the way the vid was edited, who knows.. I think he has passed away now. None the less, got to love the music, it kicks ass... And good to see the post of The World Is A Gutter.. Probably my favorite EZN song..!
I'm twelve, I love every kind of Rock, Metal and Punk from 60's to early 90's. I was born in the wrong decade. Thumbs up if you were born in the wrong decade as well.
@Cr1mSiR Ha Ha! Yep, only $%^#& &^%$#'S think that a electronic circuit that makes you sing in key and everything done on a computer is talent. A chimp can make sounds into a mike and sing in key these days, and press keys and make a beat in a control room. Most of todays music is as fake as a tooth fairy.
@dhwood70 thak you, for ot being an idiot, look at my post, we paractically said the same thing, welcome to the "i hate rappers and hate you if you cant sing or play a instument" club!
people can say what they want about these guys.im into heavier stuff but i had the
chance to grow up around these guys and i dont care what anyone says, they are a class act and real good people.all the bullshit the music industry has thrown at them
@midnitemover123 Well seeing as how you didn't give me any alternative. The music I listen to is predominately 80's. Bands like Ratt, Lizzy Borden, Ozzy, Van Halen, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Bulletboys, Whitesnake, Autograph, Cacophony, DLR, Dokken, Duran Duran, The Fixx, Thompson Twins, Winger, Skid Row, so I think I know a thing or two about my 80's bands. And yes, Michael Jackson is among them, Thriller is one of the best pop albums of all time next to Rio.
They were actually some of the better song writers on the scene, and they were actually forced to go with the lame glam look by their record label. I lived in L.A. in the 80's and the worst band on the strip was Faster Pussycat, they couldn't write a decent original song if their lives depended on it.
..the 80's was a wild time of neon colors, flashy lights, and high hair..and one hit wonders.. most bands were marketed as a Poison copy.. it's what sold records at the time.. :) 80's forever
KytieKay ..what band in the 80's and early 90's wasn't like Poison.. they had the 'look' of Poison.. glam rock.. and about the same level, soft rock..
God I miss the 80's. Gazzarri's, Country club, Red Light District, cruising the strip getting handed fliers from bands. Not having to rely on the internet to promote themselves. No hip hoppers & bling blingers infiltrating the city.
@kittywhiskerz True, LA in the 80's was crazy fun. I miss the old days. I remember getting into to some swank club back in 1987, one of the one's you had to be picked by the door man to be considered cool enough to get in (thank god my girlfriend was a Dutch model) anyway, I wound up partying with Tommy Lee and his wife Heather Locklear that night.
@MrVeesworld AWESOME :) Must have been a blast. I can't remember the main "cool enough" club everyone used to talk about. Was it Spagos? Do you remember?
@kittywhiskerz No the club was not Spago but it did start with an"S". Maybe it was Club Spice or something?
Back then you def had to wait to be chosen to get inside. Being 45 years old now, I could not see standing in any line to get into a club, especially since I was promoter in San Fran for 10 plus years.
The days when Kramer Guitars ruled the scene. I have no regrets about what I'm going to post next, but here it goes: I'd take any one of those Kramers that Derek was playing over any Strat, Ibanez, Gibson, ESP, or Jackson ever made, no matter how much they're worth. Kramer made an awesome looking guitar and outstanding quality at the time. Of course, it is Derek playing and we all know he could make a banjo sound good in this kind of music.
enuffznuff kickksass iam a bass player and have been since was 17 now iam 36 the glam bands msuic is so much harder to play then any of that shit that come out from the 90s and on and i meet chip znuff hes very cool donw to earth guy talked to me like a everydat joe he new
Its kind of a shame. Had they released their album around 1985, they probably would have been a lot bigger cause they were the most over the top glam band of the 80's, but releasing their album in '89 was a big killer for them. But any music fan with knowledge of music at all, has to give them credit.
Cool band. Wasn't crazy about androgenous looks (gee thanks D. Bowie) but they were talented none the less and one of better groups from the era (alot of posers in those days).
@aylaandshelby This was fun to play and sing. But why oh why were there no more hits from these guys? Were they stuck in the car accident heavey drug use lane cause they wre goo and then they socked so bad they just wernt even on the map. Ive seen Chip on youu tube so f'd up he couldnt even talk. What a shame but perhaps deserved. They persued suck and they got it.
this band is from hometown janesville wi i first moved to jtown in 1985 and my eldest brother was friend's with them im glad he didn't join their band.
I still think if these guys came along 5 years earlier than they did that they would have been a lot more successful than they were...too many unfair comparisons to the Poison wannabes of the late 80s...
yeah on this song, they look glam, but they dont sound it, probably from the lead vocals. The lead vocals almost sound like a mix of glam and a little grunge
@csmpeoil hey csmpeoil: you got your wires just a bit there, homie -- 'cause see, that's a dude you're seeing in the clip at 1:41, guy. the "smoking hot" gal about whom i assume (call jay-z; there's a rhyme) you're talking show up in the clip until 1:43.
i'm pretty sure that's the gal about whom you're talking, no?
@fittingly you are totally right. the reason i put it a couple seconds earlier at 1:41 is because i've noticed on some vids on youtube that when I put the exact minute:second it somehow lands past the marking point I want. this time it lands exactly earlier than I wanted. i'll say it again... that chick is smoking hot. something about her smile!!
Wish I was alive back in the 80's. These are so much better than You Me At Six and All Time Low. People rip into you if you're a teenager who's into these kinds of bands nowadays. :( Long live the 80's!
It's so strage: I remember at the end of the eighties Enuff z nuff were considered the worst mainstream sh** on the scene. Nowadays the look more than decent... probably this is due to the crap musicians we have today....
@misslogancouture39 Another dickhead coming to watch and listen to a rock song by a rock band!! But, for some reason can't keep his mind off hip hop and it's dominance!! Get over it...you only make hip hop that much better with ur hatred! BLAH!!

Chip z Nuff

God I miss the 80's. Gazzarri's, Country club, Red Light District, cruising the strip getting handed fliers from bands. Not having to rely on the internet to promote themselves. No hip hoppers & bling blingers infiltrating the city.
kittywhiskerz 11 months ago 3
@kittywhiskerz True, LA in the 80's was crazy fun. I miss the old days. I remember getting into to some swank club back in 1987, one of the one's you had to be picked by the door man to be considered cool enough to get in (thank god my girlfriend was a Dutch model) anyway, I wound up partying with Tommy Lee and his wife Heather Locklear that night.
MrVeesworld 11 months ago
@MrVeesworld AWESOME :) Must have been a blast. I can't remember the main "cool enough" club everyone used to talk about. Was it Spagos? Do you remember?
kittywhiskerz 11 months ago

Of course, it is Derek playing and we all know he could make a banjo sound good in this kind of music.

esmith is rite if they had released around '85 or '86 they would of been huge, they had 2 compete with poison the biggest glam band in the business.
makeover100 1 year ago

They persued suck and they got it.

this band is from hometown janesville wi i first moved to jtown in 1985 and my eldest brother was friend's with them im glad he didn't join their band.
oldgurl78 1 year ago
@oldgurl78 lol - they travelled the world and had the time of their lives...your brother would have had a ball. Instead what did he go on to do?
pmacFTO 1 year ago
I still think if these guys came along 5 years earlier than they did that they would have been a lot more successful than they were...too many unfair comparisons to the Poison wannabes of the late 80s...
zendaddy621 1 year ago
yeah on this song, they look glam, but they dont sound it, probably from the lead vocals. The lead vocals almost sound like a mix of glam and a little grunge
MrDCNO53 1 year ago
yeah they were only glam for one album and truthfully why should it matter these guys are awesome

the girl at 1:41 is smoking hot. I've always dug that smile of hers.
csmpeoil 1 year ago 2
@csmpeoil hey csmpeoil: you got your wires just a bit there, homie -- 'cause see, that's a dude you're seeing in the clip at 1:41, guy. the "smoking hot" gal about whom i assume (call jay-z; there's a rhyme) you're talking show up in the clip until 1:43.
i'm pretty sure that's the gal about whom you're talking, no?
fittingly 1 year ago
@fittingly you are totally right. the reason i put it a couple seconds earlier at 1:41 is because i've noticed on some vids on youtube that when I put the exact minute:second it somehow lands past the marking point I want. this time it lands exactly earlier than I wanted. i'll say it again... that chick is smoking hot. something about her smile!!

Wish I was alive back in the 80's. These are so much better than You Me At Six and All Time Low. People rip into you if you're a teenager who's into these kinds of bands nowadays. :( Long live the 80's!
19Drummerdude96 1 year ago 6
It's so strage: I remember at the end of the eighties Enuff z nuff were considered the worst mainstream sh** on the scene. Nowadays the look more than decent... probably this is due to the crap musicians we have today....
