If you get rear ended, wont that come off? Very good idea though. I think I'll try this but get 2 more book ends and weld them onto the first one, so that they hold the sides in. Thanks for the great idea!
@danielskinner Thanks... no it didn't work with the iPod connection and I had to use a aux cable with a filter on it because I was getting a wine from the other electronics in the car.
Thanks for the idea!!!! I did the same thing for my 2005 Toyota Matrix...works great! It will work on any car that has an in-dash radio with trim around it. just depends on what you may or may not be covering with the iPad itself. Thanks again!!!
Great idea. Gonna have to try that one out. Just a heads up. U should get the blackberry Bluetooth stereo gateway. It's like 35 dollars on amazon. U plug it into 3.5 mm jack an now u play your music through the Bluetooth and it sound extremely good and now u play music wirelessly. U could even sit in your back seat and hold your iPad and play through your radio.

great find, I dont have a scion but starting an install for my jeep wrangler, in the process of buying parts for my install, but have to see if I got any space between my unit for something like that
