@singology that means that everyone can be saved and have a relationship with God, it was no tthat way in the old testament. God still has order and individual roles for men and women. Those roles cannot be interchanged.

Deborah was a judge, not a preacher, bishop, elder...anna, was a woman who was only married a short time, afterwards, gave herself to fasting and praying in the temple continuously...prophesy is not the same as preaching....we must pray before we read the bible to get the true revelation of the scriptures. Prophecy is inspired speech in the New Testament. I believe in the female preaching, prophesying, teaching however with respect to headship. God uses who and how he wills but I do believe God ordained patriarchal church and family leadership but at times there are Deborah situations when a mother in Zion is raised to lead as she did but she warned Barak that no glory would come to him.

The human race is referred to as MAN.So naturally it will go on as if speaking to man.I think this verse is so misinterpreted but I think the ANYONE in this scripture refutes all allegations that women cant be Bishops shalom

But because people cannot endure sound doctrine they call a woman a bishop. Show me a female leader of the church in the bible? Not a female judge, but a place in the bible where God actually charged a woman to lead and feed his flock? Show me ? I'll wait.

I however preffer a male Bishop as a prefference however God said he will pour his Spirit on all flesh so to say that he would not use a woman in the office of a Bishop would be dismissive to the fact that the scriptures says If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer he desires a noble task. You should really ask God to fill you with his Spirit so that you may be able to get revelations to the holy Scriptures you are obvioulsy lacking in this arena. @tbursee Your analogy as a Lion and a Lioness is a bad one considering the fact that in the pride it is the Lioness's job to get the food for the pride while the Lion sits on his royal high butt and snores and yawns while she is hunting. (although I must say he is the protector of the pride) nonetheless she is the one who goes out and gets the meat. So I guess it was a blooper on your part to use this analogy WOK WOK WOK! Lol! Pride arrogance and some even heresies came across from the pulpit. I LEFT! So believe me there is no biased opinion on my side. I just kinda say if God used a Donkey to talk he can use a woman Bishop. I have a wonderful man Bishop now whom I adore very much and I thank God for him. I suffered spiritual abuse and he has been a blessing to me.
