I have enjoyed the Newsbuster site for at least 2 years. The opinions posted in the forum always provide great comedy. There are a few extremely intelligent posters there, but most are just paroting what they heard or saw from Fox or Rush without any of their own subjective opinion.

As to the closed captioning. I do not want it. I find it extremely annoying and would be upset if a portion of the already small screen were taken up with words that I can already hear. Asd a person with below average sight. I feel that the video should not be compromised with captioning that would only bennifit a small % of the audience

You want NewsBusted to change their format so that a person who fundamentaly disagrees with the vids can better complain about the content. I have that right don't I? Doesn't captioning the videos expand the audience? Is it not true that the older we get the more conservative we get? Do you not you not think that captioned videos would appeal to that demographic?
The captions are also an optional viewing choice, you are not forced to see them.
I would also find the videos annoying with captioning turned on. Most people who do not need it would. That is the reason it is optional on television. If You Tube forced me to caption my personal videos, I would pull them instead.

I have enjoyed the Newsbuster site for at least 2 years. The opinions posted in the forum always provide great comedy. There are a few extremely intelligent posters there, but most are just paroting what they heard or saw from Fox or Rush without any of their own subjective opinion.
Newsbusters censors anyone with a differing opinion. Everyone there must speak in the exact same hate terms, or get removed. Seen it happen many times. Free speech is not promoted by Newsbusters.

You see that arrow button on the far right bottom corner? If you click that, options pop up, of one is which to turn on captions. It isnt FORCED on you.

If Newsbusters has the money and time to create videos like this, it costs almost nothing and takes very little time to caption a 2 and a half minute video. I am happy that I was able to help you with something that the average 5th grader could have figured out.
As to the closed captioning. I do not want it. I find it extremely annoying and would be upset if a portion of the already small screen were taken up with words that I can already hear. Asd a person with below average sight. I feel that the video should not be compromised with captioning that would only bennifit a small % of the audience

You want NewsBusted to change their format so that a person who fundamentaly disagrees with the vids can better complain about the content. I have that right don't I? Doesn't captioning the videos expand the audience? Is it not true that the older we get the more conservative we get? Do you not you not think that captioned videos would appeal to that demographic?
The captions are also an optional viewing choice, you are not forced to see them.

I would also find the videos annoying with captioning turned on. Most people who do not need it would. That is the reason it is optional on television. If You Tube forced me to caption my personal videos, I would pull them instead.
