Some crime is going down, but many who deserve prison for their crimes simply get a raise. I find it to be true that people are living in more and more fear.
Crime has been going down because they have been putting the criminals in prison ! the American's perception is correct not brought about through fear.
US has the most scared population in the world, it's just on another level.
