i love this soundtrack! it's my favourite so far! i'm not going to upgrade to pandaria though, well not until the one after it is released because you have to get the ones before to get the latest which i think is stupid! especially because ive only been playing for about 6 months so i have to buy all the expansions before to get cataclysm...

The thing with Pandaria is that it's an anticlimax (which was bound to happen eventually when you chew through villains like bacon chocolate muffins):

BC - demon overlord

WotLK - death personified

Cataclysm - dragon from hell

and then, buncha pandas.

Trailer also had a more casual feel to it, and elitists can't even think about the word without feeling dirty and offended.

@MarikBentusi Dont say elitists, rather call them hardcore gamers. Although most decent (mature, well mannered) hardcoregamers did quit WoW during Wotlk. It was so much bullshit, sure WoW has a huge playerbase but mmo:s should be rewarding for hardcore gamers, sure casual people can play it but then they shouldnt expect to be able to accomplish nearly as much. When they do, it affects the community in a very bad way, people become more arrogant, elitists etc.

WoW definitely reached it's peak during the Burning Crusade... Wrath had it's moments especially early on but wore out quickly. Cataclysm doesn't even feel like the same game.

For the first two years it seems magical, but afterwards, it doesn't, because of how long you've been playing it. Take a few months off WoW, then start playing again, and the feeling comes back. Anything done repeated times loses it's magic, its basic human psychology. Compare this to any other MMO or video game and you get the same results. WoW hasn't changed much in entertainment, people get bored

I love the opening to the song, it shows a kind of solemnity and emptyness in the slow strings. it also makes the feeling of Silvermoon. I can not remember which RL civilization this reminds me of but it is for certain that in game the music and the architecture match perfectly. and the tight chords sung when the voices enter randomly tear at the heart in a way that makes you feel the pain of the Blood Elves, who practically undergo a regicide. heart wrenching.
