@brixcity17 That is what I am will be doing as well. I switched to the Republican Party so I could become active in local politics, but my loyalties are still to the Libertarian ideology.
All the best in your endeavor, if enough people run or support people of convictions it may indeed be possible to change the situation from within.
Another option for Denis Kucinich supporters and Ron Paul supporters may be around the corner also, I've just learned that Jesse Ventura is releasing a new book and may be running as independant. With a strong runningmate he could attrack both dems and gop as he appears to be more center than DK) or RP. if DK and RP rally he could build momentum
Whats your take on the Obama security issue where the Secret Service (SS) stopped checking people because the "event" was starting and let tons of people in with no checks for weapons? Do you think he stopped playing their game? Do you think that he has his own Agenda as a president or do you just think that he was pinned as a fall guy but now that theirs no way they can say Hilary is on top of him that they just want him wiped out? Would love to hear your take
Because I'm a fan of Nordic Mythology. If I were truly a devil worshiper in the biblical sense as some have suggested I would name myself "Sheol's Unicorn" or "Satan's Unicorn". I listen to heavy metal music and play it, so it's my stage name. And yes, I have told my church's Monsignor about it.
Great idea for your generation! ME,I cannot choose any party now w/o Ron Paul. My goal is to see that McCain does not become President. He IS War.He IS draft. He has issues.McCain leads because our PRESENT leaders wish him to be.He would be Bush Jr."Follow the Course". Puke!
I sympathize with your sentiments here, I am planning on voting either 3rd party or potentially Obama. If McCain is war, then I dare say that Clinton IS corruption, and neither of them will get my support. I will still give Paul my vote in the primary, and afterwards I will likely vote Libertarian, although I'm not going to change my party affiliation back because of the office I seek.
I think you're right about third parties not being the way to go. However the problems we face transcend Republican or Democratic party membership. The problem is the very powerful special interests to which BOTH parties are beholden. In elected office you will have to confront these forces and I certainly don't have to tell you who they are. They are integral to the current status quo and are there to stay unless REAL change occurs.
The realm of politics I'm attacking is local, and here as well as state level the structure is a little different because your dealing with less money. I'm trying to unseat a mob-style political leader who has controlled local politics in this area for more than 4 decades, and it will take at least 300 more candidates like me to unseat him.
You've got what it takes to quickly get beyond that. Three years of experience at that level will be more than enough to run for your district's Republican seat in the House of Representatives. Most of the Representaitives just entering at around age 30 aren't nearly as articulate or charismatic as you. It's clear that most people posting comments on your videos respect your opinion a great deal as do I and I don't use these words lightly. Future leaders like you are what we need.
If the worst happens: An idea I haven't heard would be to counter Aipac with a pro U.S. PAC that would stop foreign entanglements. Those that supported Ron Paul to end the wars and ebb the restrictions on American civil rights might consider creating a PAC and funding it like RP was. It would help to end our wars and restrictions overnight.
You must remember Congress is a whore. She does what the money wants and we obviously have the money.
I have been a registered Republican since 1977. I have remained one in order to vote in the primaries. I have voted independent in the last 3 elections. It seems I will vote independent in a 4th.
Without Ron Paul as President I fear things will get a lot worse. A greater fear is that most people wont care.
lot's of people have registered as a independent, according to Lou Dobbs. He needs to run as a Independent, while he still has the time to do it.McCain has been picked to lose against Hillary or Obama.what didn't work for Ross Perot, will now will work for Ron Paul.Alex Jones has now come out and said everyone should run for office in their own area,so that they can get rid of the corruption going on in these counties and States.Good luck to "hellsunicorn" first you must crawl, before you can walk!
Whatever Paul decides to do, I am committed to infecting change within the party. If the Mongolians are actually going to break through the Great Wall of China, they will need an inside man to open the gates.
They can turn Ron Paul supporters away because they control all of the committees in the precincts, that is what I am running for. If you load enough local and state offices with Ron Paul Republicans, whoever runs on his platform will not have his voters disenfranchised.
Very insightful and poignant commentary. I hope there are other Republicans that align themselves with Ron Paul and his beliefs. To me, Dr. Paul's message make sense. From here on out, that is the type of candidate I hope to keep supporting (I'm sure they are a rare lot though). Good luck in your endeavors hellsunicorn.
I went to my states caucus and I got elected to be precinct chairman. What I have seen so far is that the Republican platform is very close to Ron Paul's positions, the war being the exception. Most of the Republicans that I met at the caucus seemed to be very decent people. I plan on vigorously promoting the constitutional platform. If many of us get involved this way, we can change the party. Most of the Republican people support the constitution, they just have had poor leaders.
I appreciate your conviction and I wish you the best. There are many issues to address within this video.1)Any person who basis there faith in God on the actions of others is looking at the wrong faith.A person has to be doctrinally sound to understand that we are in the day of Grace. Which means we choose.2)Ron Paul has not said he is quitting. He only has stated his contengency plan.3)Anyone who votes for any candidate other then Ron Paul is a sucker vote.4)I cannot type more then 500characters
My reasons for staying in the Roman Church rather than leaving it and going Protestant are doctrine based. I have serious issues with the doctrines of every Protestant Church, especially the Anglican Church, which has all but admitted that it rejects Christ.
Nor did I seek to imply that Ron was quitting, but whether or not Paul wins, the fact remains that he will not get very far without a coalition, and I hope you are considering this as well.
Anybody ready for a huge rally? McCain will likely dodge any further national debates especially if Huckabee flames out. We need to force the national media to cover RP or...his supporters. 10,000, 20,000 more? at the Vietnam memorial and flame McCain for his "100 years in Iraq if that's what it takes." What do you think?
That's great to hear. I had that sort of realization a couple of years ago, though it came from different circumstances. That's good that you're taking up the responsibility. The more who do that, the more there will be some real "Hope for America".
Congratulations :-) I hope you are already signed up as a precinct captain, working the neighborhood for Dr. Paul will also inevitably assist a future congressional run for your campain.
You're stretching way too far by saying that the RPR will be put back to before 1913 or the 2-party system. He just explained that in his speech at Liberty University. Peace bro
We need a real revolution in America obviously. If you do not think we do you aren't paying attention. Our representatives have passed the Patriot Acts, the Military Commissions Act and now the House has passed
Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act which passed 405-6 with Ron Paul voting Nay. The Senate Bill 1959 to Criminalize Thoughts is going to pass the Senate. Why wait? Start a revolution today.
If your talking real revolution.. That's just what they want you to do so they can claim freedom lovers are terrorists; as is happening now. A revolution of violence can only work as a well coordinated, well supported last resort and should only be a last resort.
@1Th1617 I will vote Ron Paul in 2012 and then going back Libertarian. I owe him, he is my hero.

You seem like a thoughtful, contemplative person.
I am living in Canada and do not really understand what is going on with this U.S. election and Ron Paul.
Could you make a video explaining what is going on?
Good luck and all the best to Ron Paul.
Take care
P.S.
Ron Paul is a very strong person. That character trait really comes across.

Same thing as Canada. 2 choices every 4 years and they are all puppets.
Ron Paul doesn't want support from people that believe 911 was a false flag operation.
It's all hopeless when we follow this process that we allow them to do.

part 2 - people are being turned away who left the democrats to register as Republicans
and people who have registered for the first time as Republican, are being turned away and not allowed to vote on a "technicality"
they know who the Ron paul voters are and that is why people need to register as a independent,so they won't see you coming.
if Bloomberg runs as a independent or anybody
else,it will make it harder for them to turn people away! they won't see the Ron Paul supporters coming!

I too am contemplating staying Republican. The LP has zero chance with the current rules. We need to take back the GOP from the neocons.
I however, will not be returning to religion.
