  • I bought this on LP in 1974 at the age of 15. I will be 53 in the spring and the music has not lost it's magic.

  • @thefeepy I also heard it in the 70's.....and I'm thrilled to be able to finally pay tribute to it here all these years later. As you said....it hasn't lost it's magic. Debussy and Tomita.... the perfect match! Have a great weekend. ~KStKing

  • A masterpiece.

  • @silverstartrucker Thanks...the music is one of my all time faves! Have a great day. ~KSKing

  • Caressing and very polished and enchanting as can be although I still prefer Russian music.

  • @pantomime1000 Thank you! I, of course, love all styles and types of music!! Have a fine week ahead Anatoly! ~KSKing

  • I love this version of the composition and the album Snowflakes Are Dancing. I have the album, very interesting instruments Tomita used.

  • @CCthebat It was brilliant..it really was. Tomita had to use virtually all mono synths! There were no "polyphonic" synthesizers back then...and he had to painstakingly record one...note...at ...a time! Amazing record! You are fortunate to have the album! ~KSK

  • Again and again...always wonderful!

  • @damaden And...thank you again and again Mia!! ~KSK

  • Isao Tomita & Debussy what a divine combination!:)

  • @StathisQauid Isn't it though? Made for each other!! I'm certain Debussy would approve! Thanks for stopping by~K St. King

  • @Karmannah sure thing!;) yeah, i guess so too!!!

  • Whenever I watch this video, my mind goes to the following words: ''You and I were never separate Its just an illusion Wrought by the magical lens of Perception There is only one Wholeness Only one Mind We are like ripples In the vast Ocean of Consciousness Come, let us dance The Dance of Creation Let us celebrate The Joy of Life.'' ~ Michael Jackson, excerpt from 'Heaven is here', Dancing The Dream, 1992

  • @1957People Although I am "guitar man" I suppose you could say...I have always loved Debussy music...and especially THIS piece. The artist performing it here (Tomita) was the first to introduce me to music of Debussy....and that is why I pay tribute to BOTH here. Thanks again Vit! ~KSK

  • @MjsInMyHeartForever Thanks. Always loved this Debussy song...and this version by Tomita is superb. Have a great week! ~KK

  • Wonderful

  • @aprilspring770 Thanks. I hope all is well in your life! ~KK

  • Thank you for this post. I just came upon Tomita by accident, and after only a few days I've immersed myself in his renditions of classical pieces and his own works. When I listen to Tomita, it's like finding a root behind all I've known of electronic music. This expands and defines my interests in composers like Uematsu, Koji Kondo, and Motoi Sakuraba. This is awesome. Stellar in more than one sense.

  • @MeditativeMantis Thanks...and at the same time...you're welcome. And...wow...you just recently discovered Tomita?? Amazing. Did you know....when Tomita recorded this in the 70's....synthesizers were "monophonic only". Yes! Tomita had to painstakingly piece this incredible material together...for the most part...one note at a time!! If I hadn't discovered Tomita myself back in the 70's when I was just a kid...I don't know if I'd ever have gotten into classical music. Have a great week. ~KSK

  • @1957People The author thanks you! ~KK

  • Thank you Karmannah:= love to You:)

  • I d inyoid very much... this is really something spetialy ...

  • @kneginja11 Hvala i lijep dan! ~KK

  • I remember buying Tomita's "Snowflakes Are Dancing" in 1975, after hearing and buying his version of Mussorgsky's "Pictures At An Exhibition" . I've been a fan of Tomita ever since. I think "Claire de Lune" and "Reverie" may be the most beautiful pieces he's ever recorded. With all respect to Debussy, of course! This is a stunningly beautiful video. My salutations!

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN Thanks! I remember hearing tomita's Snowflakes Are Dancing album way back in the 70's. It was my introduction to Debussy. It was a real treat for me to create this vid to pay my respects to both Tomita and Debussy. ~KK

  • WoW, just amaZing!

  • @marchaelic08 Thanks! Clair De Lune 1 of my all time faves...and this 1970's electronic performance by Isao Tomita was decades ahead of it's time. I was glad to finally have a chance to create a video honoring both Debussy (composer) and Tomita (performer). Have a great New Year!! ~KK

  • @marchaelic08 Thanks! Just got back from vacation, hope you had a great New Year!! ~KK

  • This is so captivating, I am here watching this again. I couldn't remember if I had commented before.

  • @MissSpring77 Thanks for visiting...and this piece of music has always been an "adventure" for me!! Have a great New Year!!¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ KK

  • The beauty of this video has made me cry. This song has always been so special to me. This rendition is out of this world and so is your video.

    Thanx so much. :-))

  • @MJLoverAngie It is making us cry Angie...lovely...

  • @MJLoverAngie

i agree Angie, thank you for sharing. :)

  • @MJLoverAngie That's sweet to say. Clair de Lune is my all time fave...and I've cherished Isao Tomita's amazing "electronic" performance since I first heard it as a young boy in the 1970's!! I also LOVE Tomita's version of Debussy's Arabesque #1 and Girl With The Flaxen Hair!! Neat to able to create a video honoring both Debussy AND Tomita...all these years later!! ~KK

  • Thank you for this amazing adventure... for the picture of the wonderful... fantastic... unite of our hearts ... the music... the moon... the earth...

  • @humannature11 Thank YOU....as this is one of my fave pieces of music of all time...Debussy is amazing...and the version performed here by Tomita...out of this world...which is what inspired me to create the video!! Have a great day and thanks again!¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ KK

  • @KanadaKat KanadaKat!! haha, that's a great name!!

Hmm, good idea!! That way, people who only want guitar vids get that from this channel, and ppl who want other music get it from your other channels. Make sure you mention them all in your profile info!

  • @mlavik1 Well...you know...it took me a long time to figure out... but "Guitar" viewers want just that...guitar. Song people....want just THAT. And even here.... what I call my "peace and love" channel..... all unique and attracts a particular audience. Having everything on ONE channel just didn't work....not for me at least!!! Take care!! ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ KK

  • @KingHopeMusic Yeah! And in my case: whenever I want to hear gutiar vids, I only want to hear guitar vids. So this way everyone shoudl be happy! hehe.

And sure! When you have many videos, I guess it gets a bit confusing when all of them are on the same channel..

  • @KingHopeMusic Take care too!

  • This was SO beautiful!! Thanks alot for uploading!:)

  • So pretty Kennedi. Love this and saved into my classical. <3 AC

  • @ShiftingReality Thank you, that is kind of you~♪♫ KK

  • Spectacular! Claude Debussy -

The Suite Bergamasque - The third movement of Suite bergamasque is best known, entitled "Clair de lune," moon in French. My favorite works of Debussy.

It's a song to dream. Excellent performance form Isao Tomita.

    Wonderful motions.

    Congratulations your creation.

    M.

  • @damaden Thanks kindly ~♪♫☼KK

  • Ummmm....like this one! I keep watching it over and over...it's SO beautiful, I don't know how people like you do this sort of thing, but a big HUG and THANK YOU!

    God Bless. Kittie

  • @kittieflower Well...thanks of course! I have LOVED this song and this particular performance of it (by Tomita) since I was a kid. I thought it was time to honour both by making this video. Also...it's a very nice break from writing and recording my OWN songs. It just breaks up the process nicely... keeps everything fresh...you know? Very happy you like it!!~♪♫☼KK

  • ^__^

    Honors for this video (1)

#64 - Most Discussed (This Week)) - Music - Canada

  • @countrychloe Hahaha...thanks! But I think it's just that we're "discussing" that WMG is most likely going to "take down" (block) this video...soon. Thanks again for the kindness !! !~♪♫☼KK

  • @Karmannah 。°°・(;>_<;)・°°。

    It happened to me!

  • @countrychloe A video "take down"?? (block) you mean??~♪♫☼KK

  • @Karmannah I have a strike

    because of WMG. Be careful

because my video was up for

awhile and BAMM! It was gone

    and i have strike! I won't upload

    anything with WMG!

  • @countrychloe Sorry to hear that! I followed the correct "copyright dispute" form...and submitted it. That is how this video got "un-blocked". As soon as I clicked "submit dispute"...the block was lifted. However...I am quite sure that very soon...I will get an answer back saying " copyright owner has restated their claim" and the video will be blocked. I suppose then I will get a strike?? That's what I get for following correct procedure! Hahaha. Once again..sorry to hear about your issue. ~KK

  • @Karmannah Only if they claim it

you will get a strike. If you get two

you might as well say good bye. ):

I only have one. I will be careful

not to get another one. :)

    Take care,

    Vicki

  • @countrychloe Oh...I forgot..... how will I know whether I get a "strike"?? Is it obvious? Do they send you a notice? Thanks! ~♪♫☼KK

  • @Karmannah lol

    No you will not get

    a notice. It will just

    happen. One day

    it's there and the next

    it is gone. lol

  • @countrychloe Hahahaha....no such politeness from Youtube huh? They just bring down the hammer!! Hahahahahahahah....well..... no worries Vicki!! I don't base my life on whether I have vids on Youtube...right? So ...strike away boys!! Hahahaha. Tell you what though....if WMG DOES "claim it back"...... just watch me have a little good old Canadian fun! Hahahaha. I will have it back up before they can blink!! Hahahaha. Thanks for everything Vicki!! ~♪♫☼KK

  • @Karmannah Lol Very true. hehe

    No worry. :)

  • I loved this, the visuals with the music were brilliant!

  • @NoraWakelyTenley Very nice of you to say that....thank you! ~♪♫☼KK

  • Very nice video. :)

  • @MrsMJ2007 Thank you... kind of you to say that!~♪♫☼KK

  • @MrsMJ2007 Thanks for sharing
