willie..you sang at my brother in laws funeral...the one and only Huggy Boy...what a wonderful song...made me realize how much he would be missed..love ya Huggy..RIP!!!
Part 2 See I had attended Good Shepherd in South Gate several times and had been blessed with Willie G's message and music several times, and here he was, singing this song, right at the moment when I needed God's love the most. I'll never forget this not will I ever forget God's love. Thanks Willie G.
Theree's always a detailed memory of our really low days right? One of mine was when I was about 16. I felt so broken and wanted to give up on everything and everyone. Crazy thoughts and lots of tears. I decided to take a walk and ended up in Obergon Park in East LA. I heard music and thought, "No way, ,,,,,,it can't be,,,,,,I got closer.......and closer. This is when I realized that the love of God reaches you where ever you are. Even in the places where you least expect.
lets go back to where we all started, i beleived this where shud we all started. staring with me. we need God in our lives. Who can get this wrethcet save man ? Thanks wIllie G.
I think i'm gonna cry. Been trying to find willie g's version...this is the best..sorry Frank S. I remember my older sis cruising Whittier blvd to the midniters and I wanted to go too.
Little Willie G never new back in the day when he first sang this song that he would be singing it now for Jesus and I am so Happy that he does. Love you G.
I remember going to every event thee Midniters played at. And I have always been a fan of all the music they play I have a rare 45 called lonely lulaby by Lil Willie G. Memories of El monte, City Terrace and El Sereno in the 60's. When they played at the Mardi gras. I even had a party and a few Midniters came over. Those times will always be in my soul.
Please if you have "The Town I live In" that's one I will never foget. Thank God for youtube. Union hall and Carpenters hall on Soto St. Those were the days. Dances at Lincoln Park! Ejuelah!
Hey Man, you brought back some good memories of my father... there wasn't a weekend I wouldn't be hearing you sing in the morning, Strangers in the Night... Thanks Born in Eastlos...Whittier/La Verne!
RichRod hey you sure found a good one to show for all the Brothaz and Sisters in the Lord! Hey do you have the other jam by Willie G "When the parties over"? If so place that one on here too. Gracias and God Bless... P.S. I was raised on this kind of musica..
Living in NYC I travel to East Los a couple of times a year. A trip to L.A. without seeing Willie G and Thee Midniters and having taquitos at Lupes on .. Atlantic is like a day without sunshine ...RIP Brother Romeo Prado!
