a tip from the ones ive made. if you dont add the bi carb, you can get a smaller mixture size(with out loosing smoke) and it tends to burn better. also, for any one trying this WITH OUT a non stick pan, your gonna be better off not using the bi carb because it makes the mixture stick to the sides and burn.

Adding dye to your KNO3/Sugar mix is totally useless, actually a waste of dye. KNO3 just burns to hot, you gotta use KClO3, lactose and powdered dye for a colored smoke bomb, in the ratio of 50/30/20 (Dye, KClO3, lactose)
