  • i love time travel movies. <3 this one was awesome!

  • lol bit of van halen at the end like, y not!

  • I freakin love that part!

  • Awesome. Best scene in the entire film!

  • haha holy shit that one band member loved it

  • 6 people weren't ready for that yet...... But there kids are gonna love it!

  • suddenly the group of highschooler became a professional dancers LOL, just sayin.

  • @erlcly02 Dude, everyone in the 50's could rock!

    I guess.

  • Haha he busts out an eddie van halen facemelter, and the guy takes the guitar, looking at it like he broke it. Pretty funny lol

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

i think he says go power rangers go!!!!

    :D

  • such an epic scene, in such an epic movie. love all the movies. there great!

  • 2:32 ... he creamed...

  • hey i just watched tht movie like literaly 2 mins ago

  • But your kids are going to love it.

  • 5 people disliked this song, but their kids will love it!

  • Love this scene.

  • Who would have guessed that every kid in school was a professional dancer?

  • @dnon75 My dad use to dance like that. Before that my grandmother danced back at SO dances for officers during the war and they did crap like that. That was common then. People had nothing better to do so they did learn to dance.

  • Family guy spoofed this with Rick Astley.

  • And there kids DID like it!! And so did the next generation of kids...

  • is that J Foxes real voice? If so...damn!

  • @danny5672 No, the voice you hear singing the song is from Mark Campbell ;-)

  • epic movie!

  • This movie completes me.

  • U know what's the best part when he's playing? The guitar solo hasn't even been invented yet, and he's doing on full-blown. XDDD

  • *sigh* ... love this scene...

  • just pointing this out there, um how do all of you guys know how big JB's penis is? cough gay coughcough

  • If i was marvin Berry i would beat the shit out of marty for kicking my amp

  • This is my all-time favorite version of this song--at the beginning. Michael J. Fox did all the guitarwork himself and he did a great job and sang it very well--at the beginning, but then he ruined it. I am one of the likes--not the dislikes, but I sure agree with the band members and the audience on this one. He ruined it in the end. I guess they thought it was funny. Too bad.

  • @60sMusicFan1955 I liked that. MJF's character Marty came from the 80's and was a fan of 80's rock which had those kind of insane finishes.... It's not really my taste either, but in the movie it worked to show the generation gap between Marty and the generation of his parents even though they all were the same age. It IS funny.

  • @Woutah2dmaX I understand that, and hence, the McFly comment, "I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet...But your KIDS will love it!" However, when he chose THAT SONG to destroy, it was just in poor taste. That song wasn't just a Chuck Berry song, but it was a Hall of Fame song. Anything Chuck Berry would have been in poor taste, because it wasn't that type of song. A song by "The Who" or a band like them would have been more appropriate. Then he could have ended by smashing the guitar too,

  • @60sMusicFan1955 the who werent formed until 1964 so if marty had played one of their songs, the awkward silence would have gone on for the whole song unless someone had stopped before the finish

  • @Trapper2159 Wow! You can open a book and study! They weren't formed until 1964? Is that a fact? What does that have to do with what I said about it being in poor taste to take THAT SONG and destroy it? and by the way, Marvin Berry never existed, but if he did, according to the movie, he was in a band before Chuck because Chuck was looking for "a new SOUND", so not even THAT song was what they were used to hearing. THEY didn't even know about Chuck Berry yet! He didn't exist yet! NotHisRealName

  • @60sMusicFan1955 No, they used rock and roll as a metaphor for the generation gap and how we think things change, but they really don't and how the older generation always says this or that sucks, but they really laid the foundation for the modern society. They started with Johnny B. Goode and they showed it wasn't that hard to go from that to metal rock. It was always there in the music. I thought showing the whole evolution of rock n' roll in under 2.5 minuets was brilliant. The scene was grea

  • @fifimsp You can go on with your college study gobbledygook all you want to with your fancy words like "metaphor" and all your "critical analysis" and you still won't impress me and you still won't convince me that they shouldn't have used THAT SONG to destroy like that and that it WAS in very poor taste to do so. I'll bet you think you can say that because you're some punk kid who didn't LIVE in the 50s and the 60s, so you think you can get away with talking like that about that kind of music.

  • @60sMusicFan1955 That's nice dear.

  • @60sMusicFan1955 "college study gobbledygook"

lmao. How old are you? 100?

  • @southparkster93 WHAT? You don't know what that means? How old are YOU? 12?

  • @60sMusicFan1955 Ha! Of course I know what it means, I've just never heard anyone say it unless they were portraying the stereotype of an old man confused by modern times.

  • @southparkster93 I guess I can't expect a 12-year old like you to have good manners and be polite, can I?

  • @60sMusicFan1955 This is the internet. You don't know me and I don't know you, therefore I could care less of the impression you're getting from me. I wasn't purposefully being vitriolic, I just found what you said amusing. Quit being so touchy.

  • @southparkster93 You write this after I call you on your manners? You really don't know a thing about manners and etiquette, do you? If I said half the stuff you've said about me, particularly "How old are you? 100?" and then what you wrote about "old man confused by modern times", you would be "touchy" too. Remember, YOU are going to grow OLD one day too! Then how would you like someone say those things to YOU? You need to go to Wikipedia and look up "The Golden Rule" or simply Google it.

  • @60sMusicFan1955 ... Couldn't it have been Marvin Gaye? I'm 24, but I sort of grew up on 50s/60s music through my godmother, and have a great deal of respect for it. I'm actually the most eclectic person I know of, as I enjoy pretty much any genre, artist, or song I come across, & I mean no disrespect, but I just though, by watching this clip and recalling the movie, that it may have actually been Gaye they were referring to... or would the time frame be feesible?

    Peace...

    - $hane

  • @shanomacbry its a chuck berry song. all references are chuck berry.

  • "...Well, listen ta THIS!" :D

  • look at the guy on the floor at 1:08

  • what a historically brilliant scene.

  • the only complete vid for this song,,dam thank u!!

  • this can produce the 1.21 jiggawatts that is needed for the DMC!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL that cousin guy wouldnt have called chuck berry on the phone. Chuck came off the street, stole that name, and played music he already had.

  • @totolyfukkdscarecrow

you realize that by the time Marlon Berry holds the phone towards the music, Marty was way past any music or lyrics that Chuck Berry would use in his Johnny B Goode song. So this was merely putting the IDEA for that TYPE of music into Chuck Berry's head.

  • @0706823245 LOL thanks much for the info. love this song tho. but heard chuck was kinda unfriendly in real life. anyway thanks for pointing that out, guess i didnt realize how far back he was. take this op to say I like Michael J. and wish he was healthy enough to make another one of these

  • paradojic! Marty sings the song because Chuck Berry wrote it, and Chuck Berry wrote the song because Marty was singing it! wow!

  • @1000NENITO Like terminator.

  • 4 people weren't ready for that yet

  • @iceman0987654 But there kids will love it!

  • Question: Is that really Michael J. Fox singing/playing guitar or is it somebody's voice/playing over him? Cuz if it IS Fox, why the hell was he JUST an actor and not a musician?

  • @shermanmi Michael J. Fox was taught by a famous actor how to professionally fake playing the guitar. He's not singing either. Yay Hollywood!

  • Chuck Berry stole this song from Marty McFly

  • BEST MOVIE SCENE EVER

  • R.I.P Micheal this movie will always have a place in my heart

  • @naster123 What? He's not dead...?

  • @naster123 michael j. fox is still alive...

  • all three versions of tannen clicked the dislike button

  • This was really hard to find!Thank you!I don't understand why do people have to ruin this great scene with their bullshit....

  • Oh i see, so Marty Mcfly inspired Chuck Berry.. So Marty is the father of rock 'n roll!

  • @XDjDarKX Not really lol you see, if Chuck Berry never wrote it, then Marty Mcfly would never know it, but then if he never played it, then Chuck Berry might have not completed the composition.

It's sort of like the chicken and the egg situation.

  • @ujayyy Hahaha.. You owned me x)

  • I just now realized that it was Chuck Berry that the guy was on the phone with.
