  • God damnit, i get teary whenever i hear that theme song. I love Carl Sagan.

  • To believe in God is to believe in futility; if one believes in such a creation; a creation as of God they must have some perseverances as to propose that they are the only ones that matter. This is true given the society that is ever abundant around us.

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF SONG 0:47?

  • BummBummBumum?

  • The same way one can disprove astronomy, one can also disprove God's supposed influence on our everyday life.

  • Do you mean astrology?

  • Yeah, haha. Sorry I mistyped.

  • Haha, I thought so. Didn't seem to make much sense otherwise :D

  • Got the Godfather reference..

  • 3:16 - did anyone else think porn?

  • WHAT?? XD No, I was thinking how much I miss NYC but not the subway, but I'm sure porn was on my mind somewhere....I was also thinking how much NYC has changed since this was made, what a hellhole it was in the 70s-80s but it still had a lot more class than it does today.

  • carl sagan is the greatest. when i have kids i'm going to watch every episode with them.

  • Wow... he debunks 2012. 5:16 5:35

  • not really. read what they predict. not what you hear.

  • Teehee! What HAVE I heard?

  • I'll have to agree he made science look obtainable to even to more dense of us. Imagine what he could have done if he had not died in 96' especially with something like the Hubble. He only got to see a fraction of what it brought to the field.

  • Heh. Beautiful.

  • This makes no fucking sense.

  • The world's a lesser place without Sagan.

  • goddamn it, we need more shows like this.

closest we got is the universe in history channel, but it lacks such an awesome single host like carl sagan.

  • Following your logic then god orbits the Unknown universe.

  • You are needlessly personafying something which has never implied it as having a consciousness, let alone one that cares about "bacteria" like us. I think your just hoping for heaven and were thinking something in science would help shine a new light. Messages derived from the stones and stars are truth deepest. Those derived from Human passions are potentially false and misleading. Its definately not my job to tell you what to believe but when you talk like that youre reaching buddy... Peace!

  • ok sure man

  • Check out the title of the newspaper:

    "The Beatles are back"

  • do you think that those Gods" beings mention in this video are mythology, no they are description of beings ( aliens), i mean its very logical.. Ancient civilizations tell that the Gods ( alien beings) came from the heavens ( space)

  • ajaja its funny & stupid to still see people saying that we are alone, when in this video u can see how hugeee is the universe, and other universes..

  • Arrogant science? Is that the worst you can come up with? Arrogance isn't even a bad thing. It separates people who are great from people who are great but are afraid to admit it. :) Freedom of speech is arrogant. Voting is arrogant. Science is arrogant. The idea that one method is better than the other IS arrogant, and it's the foundation of all science and culture. I wish more scientists were arrogant... Maybe tell the ignorant to go to hell... ;)

  • Sagan is a hero of the modern world. Respect to him for taking on Astrology scientifically and calmly rather than dismissing it out of hand as many other scientists do, which gives astrologers the ability to claim they are ignores by "arrogant" science.

  • I second that. We need more people like him now.

  • Thanks!

  • Carl Sagan is awesome!

  • Thanks for uploading, been looking for this.
