  • a personification of the 80's

  • I remember this was used in a movie called Ladykillers. It was about this girl who killed obviously gay male strippers. She had wild hair and mirrorshades. She stabbed them with a knife. That's how I wanna go out.

  • Who is the woman a 0:46? I remember good ol' Night Tracks telling us but I've forgotten.

  • This song is so amazing~

  • No one has sung the national anthem at Lakers games like Jeffrey Osborne.

  • God this song is funky, thanks Jeff for a great song that always sounds great.

  • The girls of 11 persons don't stay with them tonight

  • You were raise in the CHURCH, therfore I know you LOVE to praise GOD. Keep that LOVE and balance your LIFE around the almighty SPIRIT TEACHINGS!

  • Strakke shit!

  • Love this song and that Caribbean vibe, LOVE IT !!! I had the pleasure and the honor, back in 1985, to see Whitney Houston open a concert for this gentleman and that show absolutely KICKED BUTT !!!!!

  • This song was also herd in the movie Splash when Tom Hanks was sitting at the bar depressed before he met the mermade

  • dont really like jeffry but this song rocks

  • love it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx great 80's song they don't make them like this now.

  • Jeff is a great guy he hits golf balls at the same driving range i go to. he is a very nice down to earth guy. he treats everyone well even though he is a celebrity. he has many friends there he is the kind of guy that asks regular folks about their kids and families. Jeff is the man, a good man and a great talent no doubt

  • good mood music!

  • This song was played on BET's "Video Soul" show about five times a day.

  • All these years i never knew who sung this song! but now i know. beautiful classic song. makes me wanna cruise in a testarossa with a hot chick

  • this song is a real mood maker

  • i was a kid when this came out, and this is the first time i have seen this video ever. it was worth the wait. i love the diversity of the club scene. we all use to party together. what happened?

  • @lilxbwnsuga

i know what u mean...i hung out with everyone....every group/click had something to offer..it was a good mix....may be cause it was a natural joy to hang out with each other and not forced...?....this new generation is supposed to be more excepting...i dont think they are....way to open to the point of being dangerous...and they are left without privacy

  • @lilxbwnsuga music got sucky, that's what

  • love this video! Love JO! clubs will never go out of style......:)

  • 10 people never had anybody stay with them tonight.

  • Very sexy song! Thanks Sarah

  • George Duke!

  • wtf is going on??? its only the videos i REALLY LOVE that vevo meddles with! its almost like they watch me from a secret camera..record my favorite vids or interests and then interrupt them..you dont see vevo fuckin with barry banilow vids but they will attack the venerable jeffrey osborne...madness i say!!

  • Awesome voice. Awesome song!

  • CLASSIC 80's dance!

  • HEY DONT TRY TO HATE MY DUDE BILLY OCEAN HE'S THE BOMB. but anyways Jeffrey osborne is awesome too and this is my favorite song by him =D

  • I first heard this song when I lived in Florida...and a friend of mine was in a band...they played a lot of top 40's hits...but had no keyboard player...the bass player learned how to play this song...just so I would quit hassling them to play it...lol...I love this song

  • Jeffrey Osborne and Billy Ocean are both excellent artists, each with his own unique style. They each had great hits without auto-tune, I believe. I listened to them back in the day and still enjoy them now. :D

  • this song was so underrated at the time---peaked at #30 ?? Give me a break. How does Billboard come up with their rankings? Its entire chart run was as long as most #1's (21 weeks) This white guy digs this song by a good black artist--thanks Jeff

  • I was searching for a particular 'stay with me' song and came across several awesome songs including this one.

  • cant stop listening to this peppy song

  • I defy anyone to stay still while listening to this amazing man and song :)

  • @blessOTMA AMEN!!!

  • Ha ! Finally .. I've been trying to figure this song out all summer and all I could come up with was lalalalal OH! lalalalal OH ! .. • the old spice guy. okay that made me laugh. yeah if you remember this coming out you are old. yeah im old too :P

  • Why am I reminded of the Old Spice Guy watching this? I really shouldn't be, since I remember when this song came out. lol

  • Jeffrey hit #30 in Billboard, 1-14-84. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • I like necking

  • I love the bass guitar in this song, especially the opening riff.

  • I like how he pronounces JOAI (joy) gawd i love this song/ crossover disco/ new wave

  • I always mistake him saying "make me feel just like a schoolgirl, boy" instead of "schoolboy, girl".

  • Jeffrey Osborne is a LEGEND!!!

  • I wanna listen to more music like this! :D

  • I agree, the cool guy behind the bar, geisha girls, it's got all the early 80s goin on!

  • Jeffrey Osborn was his own style and in the early 80s very popular. and i loved dancing to this song.... something bout the hook of it. and subtelty of it, nothing very overt...

  • i hate vevo!

  • A drummer smoking a cig, some cool 80s funk, a dance crowd with a break dancer, geisha girls, a new wave dude....this has it all. LOL

  • Someone told me that the reason they have vevo ads are so youtube can stay free.Don't know if its true but...is it better to pay or watch 30 seconds of ads?just sayin

  • I grew up on this! REAL VOCAL TALENT!

  • Great sound...great song !

  • I just want a simple video and song. GO AWAY VEVO AND TAKE GAGA WITH YOU

  • @planetrockford ....And throw this Justin Bieber in for good measure, LOLOLOL.

  • @planetrockford I make a point of not supporting any product that is advertised on top of my music. There are ways to advertise without annoying.

  • @agapereign You do the right thing.

  • @planetrockford Normally I would agree, but today's ad was for the new Michael Jackson movie. The first time ever that I've chosen NOT to "skip this ad in 5 seconds"!

  • @MoreMedication Wwhere the hell have I been at? New MJ movie? You don't mean that This Is It do you?

  • BILLY OCEAN WANNA BE? ARE YOU NUTS? LMAO If anything its the other way around LMAO AND Billy Ocean WISHES he had the fame that Jeffery has...ROFLMAO

  • After the whole New Wave music craze kind of died off on mainstream radio, I'll admit I liked this.

  • That foo too cool walkin thru the city singing, epic XD

  • Thanks again VEVO for wasting 30 more seconds of my life with that stupid ad :(

  • @lunupe83 Preach the TRUTH lunupe83

  • @lunupe83 That's funny.

  • @lunupe83 I don't think Jeffrey Osborne is a "Billy Ocean wannabe", but Billy Ocean was on the scene LONG before "Carribean Queen"... Songs like "Love Really Hurts without You" and "Danger: Red Light" were hits in the mid 1970s...

I'm an "old school head" even though I'm in my early 20s and I heard this tune on the radio during classic Thursday and I couldn't figure out what the name of the song was or who sang it. I finally asked my mom and she told me to look up all of Jeffrey Osborne's songs and wall-ahh....here it is. Great, great song. :)))
