@Rlotpir1972 they were a huge influence but the music hall tradition is so vast and entrenched - i mean brian had george formby/temperance 7 floating around his head this time. this has something so arcane, steeped in that world/lifestyle we only get from pathe clips now (enunciation of "ordinary", singing it through some "funnel" etc.) the best Queen songs always sound like precocious young talents in very engaged dialogue w/collective, long musical past - way deep back past even mighty fab4:P
