Oh ur talking about his 300 elite troops that he went back with to rescue Sun Quan with, and idk where ur getting ur facts from but Zhang Liao was heavily outnumbered, those "300" were Tong's elite troops, he had alot more, and he lost every single soldier under him in that battle. Ning picked up Tong's slack in that mess. look Tong hasnt been known to be feared by other generals that i kno of but to have, The God of War, Guan Yu fear Gan Ning is way more than i can say for your Ling Tong.

lol u still dont understand, think of the movie "300". ok Leonidus got his 300 best troops to fight at thermopylae but he had like 10,000 troops in all. same for ling tong at he fei, all his troops fought, but tong got his best troops for the emergency to save quan. Yu fearing Ning is not a lie. NIng was the reason Yu didnt advance at Lu Su in Yiyang. and again Guan Yu didnt advance in the province Jing but instead set up fortifications hearing that Ning was on his way. (contd)

the reason i like Ning is because he is so straight forward. he wears bells on his pants to warn his enemies that their death is near.
plus he was a Pirate so that adds a coolness factor. Ning had that attitude that shows he isn't afraid of anything, you know, he's got that bring it on, come what may personality that i can't help but respect.

true i like that about ganing but i like ling tong cuz like my other fav sunce hes clam cool and fun loven and i like that side but i alsolike the serious side ganing brought out of him by killing ling cao and u dont expect me to beleave guan yu didint want to attack wu juat cuz one officer was ther and he idint take jing wu gave thim jing as ther first land but wanted it back wen they got shu then headed to fan castle so i also like ling tongs skills and lingtong showed great skill in battle

lol of course Shu had jing, but Yu got a little cocky and started conquering more, remember Fan Cheng? and thats a bit of hypocrisy considering both the Kingdoms of Wu and Wei feared just one officer (Guan Yu), and yet not have Guan Yu fear an officer at the same time? Tong is pretty cool, but i don't think he is better than Ning.

yea true but one of the main reasons i dont think ganings up there is the fact that he got killed by a genrail weaker then lubu guan yu zhang liao and lingtong sha moke and u cant denie dis cuz sha moke wasint even one of the top grnrials in shu were guan yu strongest in shu lu bu best in his armys ling tong one of the strongest in wu and zhang liao is the strongest in wei so how can ganing be better then all of them if he was killed by some one weaker then all of them?

well one point would be, Shamoke shot him with an arrow, its kinda hard to fight agaisnt an arrow if u dont know. and another point would be, this is only in ROTK, Gan Ning actually died from the same way Zhang Liao and Ling Tong died, he passed away before the battle of yiling, so Shamoke never got that chance in real life.
but if u wanna go by the, biased over shu, novel, and count Shamoke's arrow as an actual honorable fight then i guess ning isnt better. (cont'd)

lol come on man, u cant really believe that the ghost of a sorcerer actually took Sun Ce's life. look dude i hear ya, and i respect ling tong, its just i dont have the same respect for Tong as I do for Ning, for reasons including his attitude, boldness, and bravery. Tho Tong proved his bravery saving Quan, I just favor Ning more. (plus being a former pirate is pretty badass. lol)

w8 yea there is, there are many disputes on SUn Ce's death but all of them involve an arrow striking his face, yuji's ghost pissed ce off while ce was looking in a mirror and his wound broke and he bled to death or atleast that's your version of it.

oh, touche. Ning was an excellent archer, but yeah i have no problem with Ling Cao, Ning was still sort of a pirate, and in the Pirates of the Carribean movie Jack Sparrow defended himself about losing in a fair fight by saying," well that doesn't give me much incentive to fight fairly now does it". but at the same time, u have a good point, too bad we'll never know how good Ling Cao would've become had Ning not killed him.
