  • Wow, there are a lot of songs I didn't know they were performed by Men at Work, and they are all good!

    Underdog?

  • The star of this video looks alot like Jerry Lewis in The Nutty Profesor ( the OLD one from the 60's ) .

  • This is my fav men at work release. epic!!!!!

  • a top 40 hit from the fall of 1983.....like this if you miss the early 80s and the good old days of MTV

  • Something about the weirdness of Men at Work really keeps me entertained after all these years!

    Thanks for posting these videos.

Turns out I've never seen this video or Johnny be Good before

  • Neema GhAZI

  • That mustache is awsome. Colin Hay is such an actor in all of their music videos. You've got to love it. Great song, great band.

  • They just don't make them like this anymore.

  • I've been searching for this song for like 4 years, i cant stop listening to it. i kept looking for 'the story of mr. jekyll and mr.hyde, and kept getting the who. and tonight TONIGHT google makes a good mistake and finds it. I totally attribute it to my little good luck girl =p

  • @biollante Don't feel bad because I've been searching for this song for a little longer than you and I did the same thing with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I was beginning to think I was crazy and the song never existed but I knew I remember this song from the Night Tracks when I was groing up. I am happier than a church house mouse! I found It! I found it!!!!!

  • 日本人です。すいません。英語がわかりません。でもこの歌最高!

    名曲です。大好き!

  • is there a slower recording of this song? ..... seems to me it was slower

  • @frizzlefrap The CD version is definitely slower.

  • Man, i played this song back in, i dunno, in elementary school- the 80's - and there was this kind of looking around at each other like, WTF is this. Classic is what.

  • Dr Hekyll and Mr Jive

  • And this video didn't win an Oscar?

  • Thanks everyone for the compliments. The original video was color, however, I ran an old film and sepia filter on this video to give it a more 19th historical feel.

  • Please god bring back the 80's!.. I beg you..

  • Classic 80's rock for sure and a real cool song.

  • Men At Work, led by Colin Hay

  • wouldn`t it be Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde....

  • @felipefrico nope. dr heckle and mr jive, this is an aussie band. instead of turning into a monster, its a scared of scientist, or something, that takes the potion, and turns into a party boy loved by many. dur.

  • <3 this song :))

  • The concept of believing the underdog will eventually survive is an alien concept in the new MTV culture. A different time, maybe a different world. Does anyone feel happy to be alive anymore? I mean truly happy, not in some delusional head-in-the-sand way we see with the paris hilton types. Amazing how much the world can devolve in 30 years, eh?

  • @gulskjegg The underdog WILL eventually survive---and I haven't watched MTV in twenty years.

  • @ctdsnark I was sitting in my living room when MTV went live. COMMERCIAL FREE ROCK AND ROLL 24 HOURS A DAY. I watched MTV every day in middle school. Then one day I saw a commercial for Snickers. I turned MTV off and never went back.

  • @gulskjegg Íslendingur? What does "Believing the underdog wil eventually survive" mean?

  • Funny video and damn good song.

  • Very funny video! Men At Work should've continued to do this in their careers. They would've been in The Rock And Rol Hall Of Fame by now.

  • I saw this video ONCE on MTV, back when MTV mattered. Then I never heard the song again until i watched it here on YouTube. About four hours later, I had the radio on in the garage, and I heard that harmonica start up... that is so creepy/cool!

  • I downloaded (lead singer) Colin Hay's 2007 solo album, Are You Looking At Me? and it's really worth a listen.

  • takes me back to 4th grade great tune

  • it's exactly like Jerry Lewis" "The Nutty Professor". It's a shame they didn't use clips from the movie for the music video.

  • Sounds an awful lot like The Nutty Professor with Jerry Lewis.

  • They're still at work.

  • Great hook!

  • Brings back memories :) So where are they now?

  • They broke up and then reformed twice for a few concerts-now they aren't together currently.
