My brother told me that a pickup clipped a SUV hauling a trailer and then a fed Ex truck came through and hit the suv, the guy driving the pick up took off on foot and is facing DUI, vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident so it was not the big trucks fault as I read in another post

Just right outside of Dandridge, Tn. A vehicle veared off to the right then overcorrected to the left hitting a grey Impala, befor going up the median and overturning trapping the driver, a grey mustang almost got involved however it stopped just in time. I heard from firefighters in the area said he looked bad.

If there are already people there helping and a person calling the paramedics it is best to move on. You'd just add yourself to the already insane confusion. I know all of us want to be a hero but there are times when it is best not to involve yourself in something that is already being handled by others.

It looked like the 18 wheeler was the starter of that accident.

That would've just done more harm than good; parking a big truck in the middle of the interstate. Best to clear the way for the people whose job it is to respond to such an event.

I agree with you andrew, 5 people on their way to one overturned car and one on the cell phone, stopping in the middle lane would have been too much, and if anyone there knew anything at all about first aid it would have been more than I do

I agree, Jeff. I don't think it's about generational differences. A couple years ago, I stopped on a highway as I witnessed a crash and saw an overturned blazer. My first instinct was to help, and I am trained in first aid/CPR. However, the others who decided to stop insisted on trying to "turn the car back over" before the paramedics arrived. Even though they had good intentions, this may have done serious damage to the man trapped in the car. Please, let the professionals do their job.
