Really nice car, I have a celica TS(192hp) and a fiat barchetta spyder(130hp), the best stock sounding 1.8 cars i bought the celica for tuning but in the end decided that I love the way it is :D. In fact they are pure sport cars... which (in my opinion) don't have to be louder... they have a genuine growl that matches their performance, but I have to admit that however the Italian is the less powerful it sounds more agressive, but the MR2 is teasing me with it's mid engine position. :)
nice little sleeper. 2zz turbo would be nice but they say that the k20 is the shiz. and yeah the new mr2 can handle and go the last aw20 series looked awsome and had the hp but there was no hope of driving a car with the front wheels in the air?
dunno what other people are on about on here but this sounds gawjus !! i have a mk3 mr2 with remus stainless with injen intake + remaped still aint as good as this one :P wish mine was supercharged ...

If we raced in a straight line you would most likely take me but that's NOT what these cars are about. You would have it handed to you at the track though!!! MK2's don't do very well at the track, I know first hand on the subject, I've driven around 20 or so of them on the track. MK3's ROCK!!!
I'm so happy that you are happy with your stock exhaust sound. Just think of all the money that you are saving so that you don't have the same sounding exhaust as me. Have fun with your Spyder.

@immavegan we only have that in australia, if you want a manual youd have to import but then that runs the risk of the wheel being on the wrong side
