No, City of the dead is the part of modern Cairo. It is a huge Islamic cemetery where poor people live today (in large tombs). Hamunaptra is city of the dead in the movie Mummy.

The City of the dead is a real place dumbass. It's in Egypt and it's called the city of the dead because dead bodies were buried there back in Ancient times. Not everything "dead" has to relate to zombies.
