As a smith, you shouldn't be against cold forming. It is a great way to get an even bend or twist. The temp is the same so it forms evenly. A very accomplished smith once told me he does what ever he can cold, to keep it clean and even.
I must say I'm against cold forming (or better: against who is cold forming an calls himself smith) but I must admit that these are some nice and clever machines
