I'm italian and I've watched this in french with english subtitles since I couldn't find any italian ones. I really suggest to everybody -english, french, german etc. speakers- to watch it in this "version". It's a completely different movie. You can understand better this multi languagues brotherhood if you watch it in a way where French guys speak french, Germans speak german and the Scots english with their gorgeous accent. This is so wonderful to see and hear, My Grandfather was 18 at the time, in the trenches on that night. He did not speak much of the war, but at Christmas time my mom said he always raised a glass to those younge men on either side.

questo è un chiaro esempio che la guerra deve farla chi la vuole e di solito sono coloro che stanno al governo...se non ci fossero soldati le guerre non esisteerbbero, perché nessuno di chi governa andrebbe a farsi ammazzare e non manderebbero nemmeno uno dei loro figli..però mandano volentieri i figli altrui...
