Marines go through the most basic of training. Their strength is in numbers, not skill. If a marine went through training required to serve in the SAS they would likely die. Marines are trained to shoot, not to think. SAS are trained to defuse any situation without the enemy ever knowing they were there. It is well known that marines are the least trained unit out there. Dont try comparing them to SAS, red berets, paratroopers or even taliban. I think your patriotism has clouded your judgement.

If you had your way the army would just blow the fuck out of everything including any innocent civilians. Running in with your guns blazing would just get you shot whereas using stealth and infiltration, you can take out the enemy, prevent civilian calsulties AND enemy intelligence wouldnt ever know what hit them. Thus, you can trace them back to their source without them knowing you're coming. Securing dangerous situations is one thing but preventing them is ultimately more important.

stealth and undercover is good, but it doesnt work in some situations, its sometimes better to show force than to just to sneak around. though i do agree with you, it also depends on what enemy you are fighting. unorganized insurgents are sometimes civilians, they attack and then hide in the public, plain sight, stealth wont work in those situations, where as if you were fighting a REAL army with similar tactics, staelth would be the better choice.

Thats correct. However, concerning what you said about insurgents attacking and then concealing themselves within the public, thats what undercover operations are for. By infiltrating enemy territory you can leak valuable information from them and expose everyone within. This allows you know understand what your opponent is up to,who you're dealing with, who's involved and proof that can be used to secure grounds for punishment. This would also help prevent any disasters from occuring.

It's not often these days you see a serious machinima. But what we have here is an excellent series that the world needs more of.

Deep storyline, excellent cinematography, amazing voice acting, ties in well with the halo story, but best of all, it keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
