dustin hoffman was the more gentlemenly side of hook and had a pirate side to him as well, jason issac was more the gruff pirate with a bit of a gentlemenly side, both were fantastic in their respective movies

That's bull actually. If you read Barrie's story, he is a much better match and this whole script is a much better adaptation. They kept true to the entire story line, right down to the description of Hook--whose eyes really are supposed to be the color of forget me nots, etc., the pirate with the backwards hands right down to the line, "oh the cleverness of me"--all of that is canon.

JM Barried definitely never called for a grown-up Peter who winds up playing in mashed potatoes.

I have this version on DVR for like 2 years me and all my siblings love it. Hook was an all time classic but this one is RAD!
