  • I also applaud their restraint. I think today's youngsters need to realize that FX can't replace story and characterization ... as Mr. Lucas is finding out to his dismay.

  • oh wow, you could actually see depth to the city of Mojave.

  • i hope they remaster the cage

  • Me, too. I just love how they zoom inside the Enterprise.

  • According to the Star Trek Remastered schedule, "The Cage" will be remastered and will be broadcast April 26, 2008. I wonder what Gene Roddenberry would say about the remastering if he were still around?

  • This could be what The Cage would look like if it were

    to be remastered by itself.

  • Haa haaa,... The display still moves like a primitive slider projector. Those fails make laugh...

  • Don't laugh. Some of the best minds in the Federation worked to perfect that "slide projector" effect.

  • You DO realize this is the sixties, right? And the purpose of these VFX werent meant to completely replace everything ala Lucas' special edition but rather clean up the existing effects. I rather applaud the restraint theyve shown.

  • i want Dubacks/ the snowmonster and a Racnor in the background of that picknic!

  • They actually put two Imperial Walkers into the scene but deleted it after letter bombs from 453 million angry Trekkies...

  • what really? jeez that makes every movie so much better! just add something that wasnt there before. still what about that Racnor? come on just one Racnor!

and just 453 million? what about the ones that dont admit it? or are locked away in there mothers basements?

    lol
